I was there in October - December 1989. Loved every minute of it. Was well looked after and the locals were very nice. I remember well the wind chill and snow...didn't put me off the place one bit!

Okay, I live just South of Edmonton, and I have never heard of the Lynx. What format are they? (Actually, this isn't too surprising since I picked up an XM unit about a year ago).

Yep, Edmonton is a pretty nice city overall. It has it's problems, but what major urban center doesn't, these days? The River Valley is absolutely beautiful in the spring and summer.

Status: offline 		Yea,, Snow in Colorado? never heard of it!!  ,,  It snowed a few days ago,,and supposed to snow day after tomorrow,, but in the eastern side of the mountains,, the weather has been way different the last 10 years or so.  Last year was superbe!!  X-country skiing out my back door from mid november til early spring.. Its been below zero f. most nights  for the last week,, with a day or so in the low 70's f.   sheesh what a rollercoaster.

Lived in Amery Wisconsin for a year. Ah yes, the winter. Ice fishing on the frozen river. Hey, those mosquitos are a pretty healthy bunch there. Walking through the woods, 3 degrees F, and the mosquitos were coming at me to suck out some blood. Nasty ticks, as well.
Beautiful country and snow all winter long.

Status: offline 		Buffalo, NY so a white Christmas is a very good bet. In fact, it is snowing now.

4 or 5 years ago I had 7 feet of snow in 3 days, one of those days being Christmas. A little too white that was.....
