Courage is not measured by the presence of fear, but by what a person does when they are scared!

We are with some family in the San Juaquin valley this year. We're having a cooking contest with a brined and a traditionally cooked Turkeys.

The birds are in the oven and we're having bloody mary's. It's very nice.

Happy Thanksgiving to all !

Cooking my bird in the Weber. It's been on for a half-hour, and has another three and a half to go. After we're finished with dinner, I'll pack up some turkey and stuffing (homemade, from scratch, using real bread) and bring it to my mom, who's in the hospital recovering from a stroke, so that she can have some real food, instead of the bland crap they feed her there.

Yes, Happy Thanksgiving to all. The Gunny has a four-day weekend, which will feature overconsumption of food & drink and perhaps a bit of gaming.
