Does anybody know if runners repair more quickly in a port with a shipyard? I've been sending all mine to New Orleans to refit but that may not be necessary.

Seems all the ships do in shipyards, get repaired faster that is. There is an upgrade tech. or tech. upgrade for faster repair at sea, 90% faster repair or something. I always take it.
Can also be used for autos and wagons and such things.

If their not in a port with a shipyard then they only have a 20% (or 90%) chance of reparing one point per turn, if they are in a port with one or more shipyards then they get two points per shipyard repaired.

While on the subject of runners and damage, has anyone else noticed that often a runner will take 8 out of 10 points of damage and "be disbanded for lack of strength" Seems like they shouldn't disband until 10 out of 10.

2.4 Ship Repair
When ships are in port, each Shipyard present in the port city automatically heals 2 points of damage to a ship unit’s Strength each turn. Each ship at sea has a 20% chance of restoring 1 lost point of Strength. The Naval Repairs upgrade increases this chance to 90%.

I would have sworn that my repair at only 1 point per turn in New Orleans.

Yes, the same happened to me, 1 or 2 Runners disbanded and think it was with 8 damage, because it seems one with 7 damage survived.
