Final turn - allies take Tricomolee, INA Division eliminated in Medan, Japanese Bde eliminated in Phnom Phen. IJN bombards Okinawa and destroys 100+ aircraft on the ground, but the score finally reached the 2:1 mark.

I suppose some final thoughts are appropriate - in hindsight, spending the bulk of 1944 retaking New Guinea was a bad decision - I should have bypassed a great deal more than I did. I got focused on re-conquering territory rather than winning the war. Whew! A long game, but it was tons of fun . Thanks Zeke99 for the game.

Impressive work by both Zeke and Skipjack -- not many PBEM games make it this far. (I'm assuming the end date is somewhere in July 1946.) Did either of you get a chance to build jets?

Yes, both sides, but the performance was NOT impressive.

I equipped 1 squadron with Richard I. Bong killers aka P80 Shooting Stars.  Their short range limited them to a defensive role, in which the did little of note.
