RE: Panzer Corps 2 is now available on pre-order

How much?!! And for what, the now-usual 'starter' game before an endless stream of DLC, no doubt? That will be half that price in the next Steam sale but one, or when you have DLC to flog?

You are having a laugh. Somebody wake me up when a WitE 2 or WitP 2 comes along.

RE: "Battlestar Galactica Deadlock" is announced!

<t> Can't see it working out, to be honest. The cross-platform release rather than a PC exclusive strategy game suggests a need for the sort of budget I very much doubt Slitherine has. It will need truly exceptional gameplay to avoid review-slaughter and get decent sales. Love to be proved wrong, mi...

RE: Games for android pads

<t> Not the best platform, as has been said, despite some more than capable devices. That said, there is some reasonable stuff out there like Atlantic Fleet, Frozen Synapse and Door Kickers. John Tiller's put a lot of his titles out on Android as well, although for some reason they are cut-down vers...

Likewise. Drowning in detail, but no realism. CK2 works much better, as does Victoria 2. As does Stellaris, come to that.

RE: DOOM (2016)

I didn't like the multiplayer beta. People seem to like the campaign a lot, but it also seems to be pretty short at 10-15 hours or so. It's too expensive for that, so I'll just wait for a sale.

RE: You ever seen a game made like this....?

<t> Not really sure how that would work with a 4X game? I always like them to have a good tactical space combat engine included, but going down to that level would just become an annoying distraction very quickly unless it was itself of 'AAA' quality or close to it. And what developer would put some...
