Re: 1943-45 Campaign Revised

Hi I was just wondering if this mod is complete bc wite2 has some problems with the soviets being way too well supplied and their airforce being way too effective in 1941 and no reason to hold Ukraine bc of no industry and I just want a game about the eastern front that gets these big picture issue...

RE: This is so hard

Well, I did the '43 scenario published with WitE, along with playtesting the game, so in general I know what I'm talking about. [;)]

<t> Everytime I encounter a strong garrison in the Baltic Sates, it feels wrong, and from historical POV it is wrong.<br/> <br/> The fact is that the early turns are made tougher because the AI can't handle bigger gaps that might appear. RE: This is so hard

<t> Ok, after playing with the easy mode (no self-respecting grognard will do it gladly[;)]) for 7 turns I see that the fronts are more fluid, something that one would expect. Shame if the AI can't handle bigger gaps later. Anyhow, forget my earlier ramblings, here's a reasonable suggestion: A "semi...

RE: This is so hard

<t> If the AI is only competitive with the current approach, then there are some serious design issues. Just as an example, I could imagine that the Axis side could do with much lower bonus values (if needed at all) if the initial state of the bordering Soviet forces were modelled properly (going th...

RE: This is so hard

Could it be possible to implement, as a game option, Soviet AI that has historical deployment (with no variation), and which would act more historically, ie. not conducting a general pre-planned withdrawal everywhere?

RE: How to Calculate stats for DC:CP and the like

Hi,

It seems to me that no consideration for fire control is taken into consideration. If a tank has no radios, cramped turret and poor optics, it should be reflected in the attack values (at least).

Horrible to see the Germans attacking everywhere at once. That's what you get if a wargame fails to model supply and logistics properly.
