Re: Middle east accessible

That's normal, but as WA owned areas units won't be able to go there which is what counts.

Re: Middle east accessible

I just loaded in an older C41 with the 1.02.32 version, and see the same thing. So it's possible it's always been like this. It's also possible that some generic file changes are causing this, I don't know. Would be really interesting to know if players using the 1.02.32 version or earlier were seei...

Re: Middle east accessible

When I load GC 41 with 1.02.39 in the game I see Turkey neutral and the rest as Western Allied controlled. I do see what you see when loading it into the editor. Is this different behavior in the editor than it used to be?

Re: @Erik: Is the living manual dead?

There's never been a promise of maintaining a living manual. However, after seeing what happened to WitE1, we started a living manual for WitW a few versions after release. Thanks to some testers that helped out, we were able to catch up and then I was able to maintain that living manual. Thankfully...

Re: New v1.02.39 Public Beta Now Available!

I asked Gary today about the front line attrition and he said the unit has to be next to an enemy unit to suffer these losses.

Re: New v1.02.39 Public Beta Now Available!

It doesn't matter what is opposite you for front line attrition. As long as a unit is adjacent to an enemy unit in their logistics phase, they will take front line attrition damage.

next public beta

Matrix should be releasing a new public beta within the next day or two. It has some major adjustments in combat prep, along with changes in APs and AP costs, ground combat, and many other items. There are also some significant changes in the C41 scenario. In our tests, it adjusted balance in favor ...

Re: WITH 2 Serious bug

I looked at the attached save, and noted no new depots built in the Soviet Union. Only captured ports which automatically have depots had depots in the USSR. So all supplies were coming from those ports or from at start depots. Pressing the AI depot assist button immediately created some depots furt...

Re: AI depot assist not working

It's on the bug list, but hasn't been looked at yet. I just bounced up the priority as this is for Gary and his list has been finally getting shorter. If he finds he needs Pavel's help, then it could take longer, but hopefully it's something Gary can deal with himself.

Re: No interception of enemy NP

Part of the problem here is that most of the aircraft are taking off very close to the target. Also, the raids are small so hard to detect. This kind of thing has to be fought off with an air superiority mission. The naval patrol is fairly minor due to the small raids and bad weather. Auto intecepts...

I don't see that it has been made a super heavy artillery type, but it makes sense to do that.

Re: Plane farming with hasty attacks

The fix coming in 1.02.39 will allow defensive ground support to actually attack and hit targets. Defensive ground support is better than offensive ground support. There would be a price to have this many bombers pounding the attacker. I'd wait for that fix before making any conclusions.

Re: Soviet unit building

Is it even possible to build Mech Corps on the map? I thought that was not possible since tank brigades are not on map units. The save file I downloaded was only 1k so it wasn't the full save. Can you email it to 2by3@2by3games.com, or attach to a post here. Thanks. I think there are some issues wit...

Re: Flying in Blizzards

The GO 244 has a very short range compared to the Li-2, so that causes higher op losses. I looked at your games saves and that's all I could come up with. Compared to clear weather, the bad weather op losses are higher. At night, everything is much worse.

Re: Flying in Blizzards

Op losses are very much range dependent. Also can depend on the size of the airfields. We haven't touched this since the last time it was changed. Flying at night should be horrible. Unless some code magically disappeared, it should be as we intended it when we last worked on it. Make sure you are c...
