RE: Official wishlist

<t> James,<br/> No right clicking does not work except in the recruiting menu where you only see a base value. What I'd like is a value on the unit, adjusted for the current situation of morale, readiness, experience at all times and maybe a fire value as well. Seems if the 'code' is calculating thi...

RE: Explain this please?

<t> I hope so. Playing as the American, I always had a recruiting limit in each area so I could never amass such hordes.<br/> I also noted the British AI had about 20 Indians and an 8K militia troop in Canada. I can't even come close as a player.<br/> Also, the AI leaders seem to rally very well and...

RE: Official wishlist

James,
I did not know that, I'll give it a try. Still, I'd like to see it when I select the unit to avoid having to right click everyone.
And, is the number the basic number or already factored for readiness, morale, numbers, etc?

RE: Explain this please?

James,
No these are numbers I've actually seen - not intel. I fought most of these and wrote the exact numbers down. That's the 78 militia. The other 22 or so are ones I see on the map as actual units - some with numbers, some not but all at least one unit.

RE: Official wishlist

<t> I would like to see:<br/> 1). Fix the map so you can correctly surround Ft Augustine in the south. The rules say you need to 'seige' from two opposing hexes and that cannot be accomplished on this fort.<br/> 2). Move the towns on the edge a bit like the Indian towns so they have at least 6 hexes...

RE: Explain this please?

<t> Okay,<br/> Now I'm really upset. After he attacked me with an army of 13,000 militia, 10,000 regulars, 1000 riflemen and 54 cannon at one spot and 5,000 militia at another spot, I am now able to confirm AT LEAST SEVENTY EIGHT militia units for the American and that does not count the ones I can'...

RE: Finnish Partisans

<t> I've seen partisans in just about every country and almost no explanation in the on-line manual. Greece, Yugoslavia, Poland, France, Russia, etc. Seems they can pop up in any country you are attacking based on a random chance. I've seen as many as three a turn in Russia. A good motivator to conq...

Explain this please?

<t> The AI must cheat or something.<br/> I started a campaign in 1776 and now on turn 3, the American AI has no less than 33 militia units on the board that I can see. He has not taken ANY towns or won ANY battles so how did he possibly get this many MILITIA units (DOES NOT COUNT REGULARS!)<br/> I s...

RE: out of memory error

My campaign games crash consistently after about 10 turns. I have to quit and reload to continue for another ten or so turns. I have the latest version 1.81.

RE: Siege artillery

More guns does not equal more barrages - just a larger single barrage. In other words, the hex is only attacked once but with more guns.
That's my observation.

RE: Please explain how GB got 328 strength in a hex?!!

nope,
Replicated the effect a few times and the blokes were overstacked by 3, 5 or 6 corps or roughly up to 30 stacking points in the hex.

I think this is a problem.....

<t> OK,<br/> For those listening, I tried to duplicate and here is one result:<br/> Bloke side of combat result.<br/> INF 189<br/> CAV 0<br/> TANKS 0<br/> ASSAULT 0<br/> Trench 1<br/> Urban 1 (Salonika)<br/> Quality 7<br/> Readiness 9<br/> FP 305 (Not the 328 I saw before, but close.)<br/> So anyone...

Frank, that was 328 not 238. I'll see if I have a save game of that moment.

RE: Please explain how GB got 328 strength in a hex?!!

<t> This was 1916 and I know that the entrench level was zero before the attack. As for assault troops, I think 1916 is too early. Also no tanks or gas or art for the bloke and no aircraft either. I'm thinking it must be some glitch in seaborne transfer or amphibious landing. Maybe the units were 'a...

Please explain how GB got 328 strength in a hex?!!

<t> Greece entered the war as ET so I sent some CP units to deal with it. The Brits landed at Salonika with ONE unit on a previous impulse which I surrounded and attacked with 4 A quality full strenght CP units (Hex stacking is 14.) Imagine my surprise at the combat results which put GB strength at ...

<t> James,<br/> No. In all cases the battles involved many units. In one case the attacker had some 12 units to my 7.<br/> I realize it's based on remaining strength? not morale but in some cases I was bigger and he won.<br/> I have now encountered the Dragoon bug too. Two continuing bugs

<t> I have For Liberty and have patched to 1.81. I still get two bugs.<br/> <br/> First, rule 32.11 says the attacker must rout/kill 1/3 of the defender to win yet in battle after battle, the attacker wins by doing NOTHING. In several cases (I am American), the British forces attack me in a town or ...

<t> I have all the versions of the campaign series which had MANY flaws. Does this release address any of those flaws or is it just a re-release?<br/> Specifically, when playing the generated campaigns, my troops often got updated with loads of trucks and nothing else. It was sure hard to carry on a...

<t> 1. I found an Austrian Frigate stuck in Zagreb (Croatia). I thought this land locked ship bug had been fixed.<br/> <br/> 2. A French leader is stuck in Spain. I think this is what happened: France fought a battle in a Spanish province and a "new" leader was created as a result of the battle. How...
