I am currently using Sirian's ships if that helps. Much nice quality sprites compared to vanilla DW in my opinion.

ORIGINAL: Serenitis

Some leaders seem to spawn without any skills at all.

I've just updated the mod to version 2 which fixes this issue.
All characters are now guaranteed to have some skills.

This is awesome. Noticed you managed to merge AI, lower range and speed and extended universe mods together. I'm doing something similar myself, making sure components and research elements are merged correctly. Did you run into any problems yourself?

Yes, the menu options at the bottom are accessible via the function keys.
Eg. File = F1
Options = F2
Start = F3
