Trading with AI in most 4x games is broken.. I wonder if it would be better to just strip the system so that it is, as best, a minor benefit to players?

I think instead of completely removing/blocking off certain research in randomized research, instead, perhaps it would be better to just give those research projects a 5x cost instead... so you *would* have access to it, but it would be much better to try stealing it/salvaging it instead. Things are definitely looking up.

XPatching for the XML and full Harmony-based access would be perfect.

Hoping Harmony is integrated into an official mod-loader so we don't have to get people to download external programs to inject it into the game. Bleh.

Hope we get carriers and small craft in DW2... it seems that the pathing and combat stuff for fighters and other small craft need to be handled separately (different simulation) compared to normal ships to keep the sim speed decently high.

Yes. Stellaris looks good in terms of the graphics and presentation, but the actual game systems and performance issues are horrible.

I think it goes to show just how important good graphics, a "sharp" UI, and strong performance are in the current market...

Version of Tacview/the game are the latest on steam.

Build 1147.4 for CMO
Tacview 1.8.3 (not the beta)

How would I go about getting the log for Tacview that you need?

Things are in alpha right now.. i'd expect they don't want to show off in-progress GUI or broken gameplay. Probably see more when beta hits! :)
