RE: Bacon Mod + RetreatUE + Das Chrome

<r> Thanks for the clarification Sabranan!<br/> <br/> This is my first time seeing your mod tool. Awesome stuff! I've fixed and made a lot of DW typos over the years so I really appreciate a tool that eliminates that possibility. I'm looking forward to downloading it and giving it a go <E>:)</E><br/...

RE: Bacon Mod + RetreatUE + Das Chrome

<r> Hi Das, thank you for compiling your mod with these other gems. I hacked together my own working version in January, but this is nicer! It's usually a long time in between visits to the matrix forums and I am always so pleased to see people are still doing great things in these parts.<br/> <br/>...

RE: Bacon Mod

The grav well variability isn't a bug, its a feature of the mod. The grav well range is based on ship weight. This provides a tactical reason to make ships smaller than your max.

I like it.

RE: "Hyping" my forthcoming mod (pun intended)

<t> I know it's not much compared to other players but I've put at least 500 hours into this game. After a long hiatus I decided to return and I assumed that nothing much had changed in the modding scene since my last check in 2016. I am stunned and thrilled to see that I was wrong. Your work here i...

Thanks very much! Good call with the diplomacy music. I hadn't downloaded that yet.

RE: {WIP} {Universe Extended} Sountrack Race-specific Diversity Mod.

<r> Incredible work <E>:)</E>. I'm still SO appreciative that you kicked the banoserit to the front of the queue for me a couple months ago. Their music and art are excellent.<br/> <br/> I've tried to download the soundtrack mega file 4 times, but the download keeps failing due to a supposed network...

RE: anyone up for Sucession Game?

Heya blackstork :)

I had to disappear from distant worlds for a while - family dramas and ailing health. Ah, life. I was just looking at your mod today, trying to get my head around the changes that have taken place since I was last here. Your progress is amazing.

RE: anyone up for Sucession Game?

<t> If people aren't interested, then they aren't interested. I'd prefer to only do a collaborative game with a decent number of people. So maybe shelve it for a little while, and come back later. Maybe revisit once Ice's AI mod has been adapted to distant worlds extended, and your own work has been...

RE: anyone up for Sucession Game?

Yeah I'm fine with that. Did you manage to get three unique governments working? I was under the impression that there was a max of 1 special government per race.

RE: AI Questions

The AI tries to capture planets all the time. They aren't always good at it, but your impression that cannot invade is, thankfully, a bit off the mark :)

What is the chance of new leader generation in the race text file? Not the government file.

RE: AI Improvement Mod (Alpha Release)

You are right about loops. What I was referring to was the simple fact that DWE has more loops, because there are more races to loop between, and more racial families.

RE: AI Improvement Mod (Alpha Release)

<t> Oh and another potential benefit to increasing the importance of reputation for certain governments is that random government seeding is something we already have. Thus identical actions by a particular empire may make them extremely unpopular or only mildly suspicious, depending on their random...

<t> I'm not pushing you for a response Ice, but we both posted in this thread at the same time, so it occurred to me that you might have missed my reply. <br/> <br/> Other thoughts: regarding random or semi-random racial bias seeding, I've started building my own biases for personal use. <t> How about increasing the values that pertain to empire reputation? IIRC these values were not quite working as intended anyway, but it could be a blessing in disguise.<br/> <br/> Allow me to explain: <br/> I played a game some time ago with Haree's Banoserit race. An interesting thing about that...
