I am very skeptical about this. This looks a lot like the nonsense that happens in WitE1. Reaching Poltava on turn 6 is simply absurd. In the real war, the Germans got barely past Kharkov. If the logistic system is so much improved in WitE2, why is something like this even possible?

I don't think so but I never tried it. Did quick test and this is furthest you can get with Guderian's Panzers.

Airbases can be used to prevent partisan attacks on key hexes as well.

your bottom unit is on refit which is less time digging and some time training.

Maybe the AI doesn't have limits? I recently played a 12.06 game to the very end against a human opponent and the number of guards units were normal.

You have to install the patch through Steam. It usually happens automatically. But first you have to enable public betas under Properties.

For starters, have a house rule to disallow paratroopers. That part of the game is simply broken. I used it a lot in my early games but came to the conclusion that it just destroys games.
