Well, after checking those tips and not finding anything, I fired up the game and have been able to run it problem free for several hours! I am pleased and baffled at the same time. I guess I'll never know what the problem was, but I'm glad it is working. Thank you for your prompt response and tips....

Hello, I bought the game today, but have not been able to complete the first turn due to a device crash that reboots my computer. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same results.
