In a current multiplayer game, I've suddenly lost all of my energy. The numbers in the picture don't seem to add up, it's certainly possible I'm not accounting for something, but I went from being slightly in the red the previous turn to this. This is on the newest beta in a previously 8 player multiplayer game.

All Zones provide storage, but they only keep enough to cover 1 turn of consumption (2 for Food).
The remaining Storage is transfered to the SHQ (no Logistics Costs).

However energy has such a limited amount of storage, that even with a few consumers it is trivial to starve teh SHQ of Energy storage.
Basically you need energy storage.

It says maximum storage is 1196, though, not 2.

Another way to starve the SHQ of energy is to raise formations that require it for supply. The initial resources taken are not accounted for in the tooltip's math.

No entirely new formations formed, interesting point though, a lot of new laser infantry replacements were cycled through inbetween turns. Perhaps this was the problem?

Yes, I just loaded up an old savegame suitable for testing it, and that's how it appears to work. I built a light armor corps and transferred the tanks (expect 3 subunits per unit) back into the SHQ, and when they were sent back to the formation as replacements, they were delivered with fuel but fuel 'Sent to units' in the tooltip was 0.

Speaking of (manually) replacing units, looks like the items over unit's ideal stocks are completely lost ?
(Next turn that 2.6k fuel is gone, and don't seem to have ended up neither in the SHQ nor in that Zone's stocks...)

Yes, using the Replace function to swap in a model that requires less supply destroys the units' leftover stocks, I've bugreported it before.
