I notice that DE 645 Germany: Shall We Deploy Dedicated Anti-Tank Units?

•Event fires: On the 8th May 1942.
•Cost of accepting: 200 MPPs, at 50 MPPs a turn for 4 turns.
•Yes: 3 Strength 5 Anti-Tank units will deploy at Warsaw.
•No: Nothing.

… does not appear as a valid script for the 1939 World at War scenario.

But DE 416 - USSR: Shall We Deploy Dedicated Anti-Tank Units?

•Event fires: On the 27 th April 1942 when the USSR is fully mobilized.
•Cost of accepting: 200 MPPs, at 50 MPPs a turn for 4 turns.
•Yes: 3 Strength 5 Anti-Tank units will deploy at Gorki.
•No: Nothing.

… does appear.

Is there an activation issue I’m missing for DE 645? Or is there a bug somewhere about…?

DE645 happens for me forsure in the '39 scenario, or is that not what you mean?

The event worked as intended for me while playing as Germany.

Now, the real question is whether those 3 Anti-tank units are worth the MPPs spent, because I am finding Anti-tank units sub-optimal and can't find clear use for anything other than fighting tanks - which is not always easy to arrange.

Edit: In short, please buff them.

Thanks, all. I was referring to the fact that DE 645, though it appears in the decisions script, curiously enough it does not appear in the 1939 scenario when you open the editor and check the Events/Decisions. It also does not appear when the game is starting up and you try looking for it in Advanced-Scripts-Decisions. DE 416 appears everywhere but not DE 645.

Though from what you guys are saying, DE 645 seems to trigger as expected in the 1939 scenario. Curious as to why it doesn’t appear listed in the editor nor at game start-up.

I question the existence of anti-tank units at all. Why have units that take up space far greater than any anti-tank formation (of which I am aware) that appeared IRL? Wouldn't it be better to make anti-tank an upgrade for infantry and tank units like anti-air?

Well, I'll be... I had a closer look and sure enough, DE 645 DOES indeed appear in the editor: Campaign\Edit Event Scripts\Decision.

I had overlooked it since it wasn't in numerical sequence. DE 645 is in between DE 677 and DE 678.

DE 645 HAD to be properly registered, otherwise it could not work in-game, but since you guys said it was working, I searched again and there it was!
Well, duh...

We probably need a 4th tech slot for all units, if that isn't too much trouble to code (interface would need to be redesigned too).
