Alcibiades73 -> What exactly goes into combat calculations? (5/5/2021 8:25:45 PM)

I have seen a few formulas on this forum, but I am still not understanding what goes into the calculations regarding combat outcomes. Can someone explain in non-math heavy terms?

The exact formulas are in the manual

Everyone can grasp that attack and defence values are influenced by tech and terrain but what really makes the difference is readiness and experience

What makes readiness?

Being attached to an HQ and morale

What makes morale?

Supply and strength

So, attach your units to an HQ, at full strength and in good supply
Whilst positioning them in favourable terrain
And research tech

...and they’ll do alright
