Phoenix100 -> scenarios made since CMO released (9/30/2020 2:36:51 PM)

Can anyone help with how I could quickly identify scenarios in the steam workshop (or Community Pack) that have been created since CMO came out? I know it's a niggling thing but many CMANO designed scenarios have ports, objects, buildings, Sam sites etc placed for the CMANO map and are not accurate for the new CMO map, it seems. Sam sites in the sea and so on. Aircraft hangers or runways a few kilometres away from the actual airfield, in the mountains, or whatever. I see quite a bit of this. So I'd like to know which were put together using only the CMO map. Is there any quick way to identify such scenarios? Thanks.

I've no idea, but for future use it could be worth encoding date, version number and other pertinent info into the filename, in a way that the scenario browser can present in a human-readable form.

Not sure really, but I can tell you that building all that stuff is so much easier in CMO than eyeballing and scrolling the mouse to the LatLong

OK. It's very easy to slightly move things in the editor, of course. Though I wonder what happens if you move an object that is programmed into a mission or trigger or script? Hopefully nothing.

That is a valid concern. If you're moving something in the editor, its worth having a look at the events. Open up one of the event dialogs (Event, Trigger or Action) and all of the area based events will be highlighted in purple/pink. Cycle through the sides (alt+s) as designers often hide the event triggers from the players. If you find an area trigger over the bit you are messing with - move the RPs for the trigger to match. Often the area will be large enough and the move small enough not to matter but it might be.

You don't need to dig into all the specifics so it shouldn't be a spoiler

Or if the discrepancy is minor, don't worry about it.

Thanks, Gunner98. The very last option is my preferred one - ignore it.
