Malevolence -> [1.04b11] Model Description - Include Type Hard or Soft (6/21/2020 5:31:42 PM)

Per the image, recommend the model description include whether the model is a hard or soft type.

Sometimes, like this tank, it is assumable, others are not. This is particularly true as the player progresses further along the model technology tree.

It should absoluteyl say that. It should also say the "Combat Type".
Movement Type is only 1/3 of the information I need.

Repeat. Version 1.04b8.

lloydster4 -> RE: Model Description - Include Type Hard or Soft (7/16/2020 5:44:23 AM)

Agree on both counts. Strange to me that it's not even listed in the otherwise-quite-extensive design log.

I agree too.

Yes, we need it.

Repeat. Version 1.04b11.

Are there even types? I thought all that matters is hard/soft def score.

Soar_Slitherine -> RE: Model Description - Include Type Hard or Soft (9/24/2020 12:28:36 PM)

There are. All models that have armor counted in millimetres are hard targets, all models that can use infantry armor types are soft targets. Which attack/defense value is used depends on the target's type. Defense values are used instead of attack when the enemy force initiated the battle, hitpoints are what's used for actual direct protection against (subunit) attacks.
