LeeChard -> Replacements (5/12/2020 10:08:27 AM)

I have a stack of a dozen or so assorted units.
If I toggle replacements 'ON' for a few selected units is there an increase in the chance that they will receive their
Replacements or should just toggle on all the units replacements? None of them have 100% TOE.

All units are in full supply.
Units are not on a base hex.
The nearest friendly base has over 20,000 supplies and a land HQ.
The units in question are in the range of the HQ.

The standard replacement cycle for units in non-base hexes seems to be three days.

I have never seen an LCU in a non-base hex receive replacements every day. I have tried dividing units to ABC, changing leaders and combat stances, ample support, ample supply, moving closer to base clusters etc - every time you get replacements every three days.

Setting unit to Rest/Training should also help.

Just a thought.

Allied divisions and Chinese corps normally break into ABC. Yet, there are some divisions/corps, which,
at start, are broken into more elements. They can consist of 5-6 elements being separate brigades, batallions,
arty units etc. If you recombine those elements into their respective divisons/corps, those recombined units
can only later be broken into three ABC regiments. If you do not recombine those divisons you can actually
rebuild them FASTER since every element will take replacements. Granted, the combined division/corps has
a slightly different TOE, but the bulk of devices is the same.

One example is Indian 36th Inf Div. It has lots of subcomponents in game.

True about the taking of replacements, but smaller units take more casualties in battle than divisions (proportionately) so you are no further ahead to keep them separate. In addition, forming the division changes the sum total of devices and division usually gets more AAA, artillery, mortars and A/T guns. Perhaps more Combat Engineers and motorized support as well. Look at a comparable division and compare with the sub-units you have for the non-formed division you have.
