Just a quick note, previously reported by someone.

Couple of test game as passive allies agains übermensch and optimal axis, 1939. Germany takes 3 turns to conquer Poland (could be better). When Germany declares war on Denmark, in one of the games it "forgot" to move to Copenhagen after destroying the danish corps there...

So, Axis AI scripting needs some love...

This is weird. playing the 1944 scenario, Allies vs AI. First turn.
I do my overlord but the combat reports seem messed up.

The combat 134,54 is the UK XXX Corps taking Cherbourg. The next combat is the USA V Corps invading 138,55 (next to Le Havre). The combat log seems to have appended that last attack to the prior attack on Cherbourg somehow...

Update: ah what the hell ,I figured why not do another invasion and see what happens. Well, this:

Then I did a regular attack:

That seems normal, so only invasion combat logs seem bugged.

Joining divisions into a corps no longer works:

No matter what I try, I can not merge smaller units into each other anymore. The above is an example. They happen to be in garrison mode, but it happens for all units as far as I can tell.

That may be weather related and limited to garrisons only. In heavy rains their movement drops to the point they cannot merge. I don't know if that's intended or a bug, but I know it happens on 1.05 live, so the beta didn't introduce it.

Check also that one is not Assault and the other is not Anti-Tank.
These cannot merge into each other.

Playing as allies 1939 scenario. The convoy button is lit up every turn. The only unassigned escorts are the russian ones, that cannot be assigned (Russia is not at war yet).

I tested merging detached divisions and it worked...

I noticed that Axis AI rarely if ever uses air units when attacking Poland...

EDIT: I correct myself. In "historical" settings Axis AI air is active. In "übermensch" settings it is not, perhaps because it does not need to [:)]

It does use air units. It just doesn't play like a human. It calls air strikes if needed but usually adds ground support.

I'll check the merging so that you can merge adjacent if you haven't moved. I probably forgot to check the "have I moved yet" flag which is a different variable than the operation points.

Alvaro, besides a few bug fixes like the messed up invasion messages, will the 25 percent MP growth reduction be in the next beta?

New beta 5f is out I see. No mention of the bugged invasion combat log having been fixed. Is that right, Alvaro? Or are you saving up for 5g :-)

Thanks. I just am doing what I think I should be doing for a game I put out. I can't imagine an developer not doing this.
