Telemecus -> RE: turn 4 (9/10/2019 8:21:22 PM)

Poor Viewrow.
Tragic accident. I can only guess what actually happened.

With Rendulic as replacement, I can think of a few German players who would gladly leave the gas on the oven on for that.

Beware of leaving flamms in the same HQ as motorised units, it can reduce the fuel you would otherwise get for the other motorised units.

BrianG -> RE: turn 4 final (9/10/2019 8:24:06 PM)

Final North.

No issues.

You can see rr repair just north of Riga.

btw I had no issue with ports or other city's having their rr fix before it is connected to the main line. Sort of adds some rr dynamics. Is this because the gauge had to be changed in which case maybe it makes sense to have connection first.

BrianG -> turn 5 Rumanians hold up the war (9/10/2019 8:36:09 PM)

My lovable Rumanian rr repair crew.

So efficient

so crafty

so fast

how they arrived at the Hungarian border to repair that vital mountain rr hex....

Negotiations between these 2 governments, to get this rectified, should start in 1 week.

That is very funny.

You can press return to HQ just to get them out of the way this turn.

I suspect the Rumanian High Command has ulterior motives to just winning the war against the Soviets.

BrianG -> t5 final (9/10/2019 10:03:43 PM)

Odessa falls in a walk thru.

more retreat.

BrianG -> RE: t5 final (9/10/2019 10:04:39 PM)

kiev approach final

BrianG -> RE: t5 final (9/10/2019 10:05:57 PM)

The Gomel lunge!

BrianG -> RE: t5 final (9/10/2019 10:06:58 PM)

Smolensk final

I hold back some tanks for refuel.

BrianG -> RE: t5 final (9/10/2019 10:08:01 PM)

far north final.

I do a hqb near Pskov.

go north or do the hook?

BrianG -> turn 6 finals (9/10/2019 10:28:51 PM)

north infantry moving up. I am loading up for major attack, I push over river as well

BrianG -> RE: turn 6 finals (9/10/2019 10:31:43 PM)

final gomel.

I am moving tanks up with infantry. More retreats

BrianG -> turn 6 finals (9/10/2019 10:34:45 PM)

I attempt large encirclement as Russians do not retreat a major river line.

My north tanks did not have enough mp's to close it heading south so I left open space. still should be large retreat ahead.

BrianG -> RE: turn 6 finals (9/10/2019 10:36:28 PM)

final south

Crimea neck seems to be defended. Still this advance continues unabated.

BrianG -> turn 7 (9/10/2019 10:44:40 PM)

south open:

Russians retreat. not enough line hugging.

Russian recon air force arrives to join the fun

BrianG -> RE: turn 7 (9/10/2019 10:51:19 PM)

south final

I chip away one hex on road to Crimea

BrianG -> RE: turn 7 (9/10/2019 10:52:15 PM)

kiev final

most of Russian army escapes to fight another day

the blue tank corp in the middle, will miss about 7 turns of action from this point, very low fuel next turn. they would take at least 4 turns to get near rr if head north. I can get them close to south rr in 2 turns.

I end up going south with them, get them onto rr near Nikolaev, they head west, back into Hungary north around the swamp towards Minsk and lines towards Tula. By the time they get to Tula area the rr was in the forward spot. Plus they recharged nicely while on the rr. Plus they get to area where I had no tanks.

BrianG -> RE: turn 7 (9/10/2019 11:02:42 PM)

Smolensk final.

BrianG -> RE: turn 7 (9/10/2019 11:04:53 PM)

North Final

It sure looks like a right hook.

I temporarily sacrifice mech division ramming thru multiple ZOC"S. Will be cut off but it sort of seals in these Russian units guarding Starry Russia

BrianG -> RE: turn 7 (9/10/2019 11:07:09 PM)

air kia

I am doing better job in managing hqbu's and in changing German leaders.\

And in doing bomb raids on air bases. Getting fighters close enough to support.

BrianG -> t8 final positions (9/11/2019 9:11:30 PM)

far south final

Crimea neck, in the end, only lightly defended.

BrianG -> RE: t8 final positions (9/11/2019 9:13:20 PM)

Kharkov final
Getting near . I expect another Russian retreat,

my blue tank corp units are heading south . they are very low in fuel.

BrianG -> RE: t8 final positions (9/11/2019 9:14:38 PM)

my rr will go Vitesk to Smolensk to Byransk

BrianG -> RE: t8 final positions (9/11/2019 9:16:10 PM)

another supply buildup. To follow on the right hook from prior turn.

BrianG -> RE: t8 final positions (9/11/2019 9:18:48 PM)

and the right hook.

Now a secure pocket, Will move tanks thru this gap and attempt cut off of Leningrad with wide envelopment

xhoel -> RE: t8 final positions (9/12/2019 10:58:48 AM)

Nice to see the AAR for this game. Can you post the OOB and Ground Losses so far please?

Seminole -> RE: t8 final positions (9/13/2019 2:34:45 AM)

Definitely interested in the delta between liquidation of turn 1 pockets and now given the effort to avoid combat, capture and attrition by the Soviets.

BrianG -> t9 open (9/13/2019 10:03:52 PM)

Russians bombers are back in action.

open turn 9 north

BrianG -> RE: t9 open (9/13/2019 10:05:05 PM)

in this hex air base attack, red army will lose 200 bombers!!

BrianG -> RE: t9 open (9/13/2019 10:06:58 PM)

air kia since last turn

BrianG -> t9 german moves (9/13/2019 10:08:15 PM)

I locate a weak vulnerable spot in the Russian line. I exploit
