sven6345789 -> Question regarding Editor and "pop-up messages" (5/7/2019 11:24:21 AM)

I have a problem with scenario 3 of desert storm.
I just get the first pop-up message.
Now i know that there are at least two more that should appear later in the game, one giving you the attack order, but they don't.
Now i do not need them ( i just tell my boys and girls to " kill anything which is colored red!"), but still.

Now i thought, no problem, let us look into the scenario via the editor, but i cannot find these messages.

Where do i find them or, more specifically, the trigger for them?

The first message fires as it should.

Sven,

This message (Launch Prep - top portion) should appear after the counter "Coalition - Recon RTB Kuwait Counter > 15".

TOP SECRET

PROVISIONAL HQ SITREP 08-002 170230Z JAN 91

FROM: NCA

TO: PROVISIONAL FORCE COMMANDER

CC: SECDEF, JCS, HQ USA, HQ USN, HQ USMC, HQ USAF, HQ USAFE

BT

1. DESERT STORM STRIKE OPERATIONS ANTICIPATED TO COMMENCE WITHIN HOURS.

This message (initiating strikes) should appear shortly after the one above. The same trigger activates an event which will fire the message after a given time and then deactivate the event.

BT

1. INITIATE BAGHDAD STRIKES.

Many of the events and/or missions are activated based on counters which increment based on many actions that happen within the scenario. It is possible that some things will or will not happen depending up actions taken by the player.

Hope this helps.

Great Scenario by the way. Great work. Thankyou

Hey Sven,

No problem. I have to admit, even with trying to document events/missions/actions/triggers reasonably well during development it can take a while for me to dig through it months later!
