I think using all points to increase damage Axis take 2D 3A and we take A.

If we are aborted, abort to Port Vila (its full to some other port in the sea area, preferred port with other US ships).

How is Allied damage so high?

I have three different answers for you. Take your pick. [;)] [:D]

1) Because the entire submarine combat system is deeply flawed in World in Flames.
2) Because the Japanese are so damn good at what they are doing, and the Soviet has pre-war, old, submarines.
3) Because Japan has 8 points in Anti-Sub Warfare. And that is the result 8 ASW gives on one SUB. (2 points for each SCS + 4 for the NAV2 -> 8 points)

Want to change how to handle the combat?

Note that answer 1, and 2, was my feeble attempt at humour. Been a bit frustrated with the Axis submarine hunting...
