zakblood -> Panzer Doctrine (1/4/2019 5:44:07 PM)

windows 10 default resolutions screen

so supports windows 10 and 4k out of the box

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (1/4/2019 5:46:49 PM)

in game tutorial teaches the basic without the need to go into the manual

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (1/4/2019 5:48:14 PM)

mouse and keyboard controls

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (1/4/2019 5:51:29 PM)

commands and controls eg UI are very simple to understand and action takes place is pause able real time

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (1/4/2019 6:31:06 PM)

simply a 3 click to select 3 units and one more to attack and your done, simplicity at it's best and quite straightforward and easy to do and remember

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (1/4/2019 6:34:16 PM)

this is a narrow front battle, with some maps being larger and more complex, as it's a game about thinking and not just pure attack, as cut off and end supply works much better than hammering on the front door, so more thought and less losses pays and will hopefully get you a win, with the basic tutorial giving you the basics to understand the game as a whole, and then giving you the tools to progress onto bigger and larger opp's and battles, for you to progress, hopefully with what you have been shown and learned

while the battles are in real time, as you can pause the combat and planing part, it can be played and done like any hex turn based game most of us are use to playing without issue, as shown above, the results are displayed as it happens, i've just paused to see the results as the Russians withdraw to the east

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (1/4/2019 6:48:57 PM)

alt tabbing in and out of windows is supported and so far with no issues to report, the screen can be left on as main or minimized again with no ill effects in windows 10.

screenshots are the default print screen button and paste into paint for me, so that's supported and works well, memory and CPU use is low in game, so not either heavy

campaign wise, you have more than enough to keep most going for more than per hour price paid, so not going to be a short game, that's for sure, regarding replay ability, well that's as many times as you like, as options open at the start of any are your call, so you don't have to follow history if you don't know it or don't want to, you can make your own, not saying you will win either, that again is anyone's guess[:D]

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (1/4/2019 6:57:09 PM)

25 battles to fight, with options to alter on each, so X number of different types from the positions and options at start from these alone

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (1/4/2019 6:59:23 PM)

if you wish to see more, and an AAR etc, just comment on what you'd like to see and i'll do it as soon as i have the time, thanks for reading

Alan Sharif -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (1/4/2019 7:16:49 PM)

I have had the game for a while. It may be simple to learn, but it's the only game I own that I play on 'easy' after the first few scenarios, I am ashamed to say. :)

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (1/4/2019 7:20:02 PM)

so no campaigns tried as yet then?

Alan Sharif -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (1/5/2019 9:12:41 AM)

Yes, I have started Army Group North/Centre/South Campaigns, but never finish them, even on easy!

mrclean92124 -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (2/24/2019 8:31:56 AM)

Alan, i started on medium difficulty, and got to last 3 maps. However, i didn't buy enough replacement soldiers along the way and on the 4-5 maps from the end suffered over 100k casualties, from which I could not recover. Last 3 became impossible. If I had a save game from around 8 maps from end, i could go back and stock up on manpower.

I'm replaying from beginning now, and after every map I'm buying 15k replacement soldiers, to build up to 250k or something in reserve. The very hard and impossible defensive maps can be won, some of them decisively by encirclement, but your infantry has to hold certain choke points to allow your armor to encircle/surrender/cut lines of supply.

Alan Sharif -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (2/24/2019 8:43:23 PM)

Thanks for the advice. I will give this a try. God knows I need the help. :)

mrclean92124 -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (3/23/2019 5:42:08 AM)

Zak, I opened a support ticket for Panzer Doctrine, and they said they couldn't help (Issue ID :37494).

During battle, the enemy soldier count goes to zero, they are all dead. But the victory counter stays still...The battle never ends. No matter how many divisions i throw into the fight, the battle indicator stays stuck. I've retreated and re-attacked same objective, and still same situation. The only way is to revert game to previous save. Once the bug happens i can't finish game due to victory objective bug.

Please help. I can provide screenshots and perhaps a save game. This has happened many times over last 6 months. The last time this happened it happened twice at the same time.

mrclean92124 -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (3/24/2019 12:24:13 AM)

I verified last autosave loads with the issue in progress... Please let me know how i can send you my save games.

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (3/28/2019 12:34:42 PM)

there's not a lot tbh i can do either, other than pass it on to the developers etc

mrclean92124 -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (3/29/2019 4:34:05 AM)

Please do, let me know how I can upload my save game file. There are multiple people reporting this bug.

mrclean92124 -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (4/9/2019 5:26:40 AM)

OK they told me how to upload game save, done, waiting for verdict.

mrclean92124 -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (5/24/2019 2:27:59 AM)

Zak, no update from developer. Can you escalate? Ticket#2019040710000239

mrclean92124 -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (5/24/2019 2:28:09 AM)

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (5/24/2019 4:38:33 AM)

not on that side sorry, as they have screenshot and save, if they can repliace a bug, then they can fix it, if they can't, there's not a lot they can do either i'm sorry to say

mrclean92124 -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (5/24/2019 4:42:57 AM)

Zak, i provided save game, and they haven't even gotten back to me.

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (5/24/2019 6:30:17 AM)

then maybe they are waiting for the developer, like i said, if they can find a bug, they will make a fix and patch, if they can't, there's not alot anyone can do, atm it's just a waiting game i'm sorry to say

Twotribes -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (6/13/2019 7:21:27 PM)

Any way to edit the game?

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (6/13/2019 7:40:19 PM)

never tried tbh

zakblood -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (6/13/2019 7:45:09 PM)

can't find anyone anywhere who has so far asked and had a reply, so now looking at the file format and engine, i'd say no, well not so easy and not editor out there so maybe something to add at a later date, but not heard anything so hopefully one of them will see this and comment

Twotribes -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (6/13/2019 11:27:38 PM)

This is a tough game to master LOL even on easy I lose at several points in campaign. It would be nice to be able to edit in more stuff to help.

Twotribes -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (6/17/2019 4:29:00 AM)

Ok on Easy the central command campaign, after Kursk I lose 2 tank divisions several infantry divisions and some mobile divisions. I specifically spent the first few battle building new Divisions and they just poof. It has happened 3 times now and is very annoying.

rma901 -> RE: Panzer Doctrine (6/18/2019 12:32:12 AM)

I have Win10. If I buy this game will it work?
