I was talking non sense. In game 3 Communist Chinese player is Orm.

The bug, or MadExcept, is related to production planning. I get no MadExcept if I place all the CW units without opening the production planning. But if I do, I get it in both game 3 and game 4. And I get it in game 4 if I open the production planning form during the French Setup as well (Using the latest save for French setup).

The MadExcept occurs when I try to advance the game to the next MP to setup. Therefore I wonder if the MadExcept will occur after all the MPs are set up and the production planning form is used. Or if there will be some other, long term, consequences.

Either way, I suspect that we can set up all the nations if we do not open the production form.

The question is how we proceed from here?

1) Revert back to earlier version.
2) Take our chances and do not open production planning until the game is set up.
3) Wait with our new games until this is fixed.
4) Other.

I do not think 1 is practical and 2 is to risky. Therefore I suggest that we wait for a fix. [:(]

The only problem with option 3 is that I have zero confidence that this will be looked at anytime soon. That said, I think Game 3 and 4 is a nice to have and we can wait a while.

Let's just keep everything crossed that 2.3.9 doesn't bugger up games 1 and 2....

I opened production planning in game 4 because I set convoys little different than I have done before. Do you think everything is OK or should I do it again without opening production planning?

I can wait for fix.

I think convoy routing is easier if you use Production Planning as you go along - or would be if it ******* worked. I think we should wait a while.

As I set convoys different I had to check that I get all factories running. Is the save file now corrupted?

No idea. But since this release seems so unstable I think this game should be halted as well. And maybe we should redo it all from the beginning once this bug is fixed?

There is new version released today (v2.4.1.0).

I vote we wait and see what is reported. We have come so far with Game 1 - if we lose it now to some rubbish bug I suspect I will turn into a homicidal loon [;)].

The Japanese Government's scrappage program gets off to a flyer. Trade in your rubbish aircraft for here. Both the air force and the naval air arm take full advantage.

France's main set-up. Also are INF, TERR and CP at Algiers. INF, TERR, TRANS, 2 CA and CP at Beruit. TERR and CA in New Caledonia.
