Do you mind if I republish v1.1 on my website to provide a backup to your original links?

Warhorse -> RE: World War One Mod! (8/15/2016 11:27:33 PM)

Not at all, thanks very much!![&o]

Deepstuff3725 -> RE: World War One Mod! (8/20/2016 5:25:43 AM)

Warhorse... glad you like the map, man. I enjoy creating maps and scenarios for war games, and the Campaign Series is an excellent platform for this in my opinion.

Planning on putting together a map for the "Somme" region as well. Would like to use the 6 hexes per mile scale based on what's in the game manual, and anyone is welcome to use just parts of it or edit... Jeff

Would you consider, if time allows, making a map of the Gorizia area in Italy? Was thinking of a scenario for that with the Italo-Austian/Hungarian battles, but unfortunately don't have much time for map making, much as I totally enjoy it!!

Deepstuff3725 -> RE: World War One Mod! (8/21/2016 2:04:40 AM)

Sure, I can do that. Will be fun. With a full time job, wife and two kids, it just might take a while.

Glad to help, and thanks for this great mod. Looking forward to Vietnam and all the others.

Warhorse -> RE: World War One Mod! (8/21/2016 3:45:22 PM)

Thanks Jeff, take your time, I got plenty to do with all the graphics I am making for Vietnam!!

Glad you like the Mod, I am biased, but it is one of my favorite games now!!![:D]

Deepstuff3725 -> RE: World War One Mod! (8/21/2016 6:57:40 PM)

Good news. I found a couple good maps online of the Gorizia, Italy area during World War One. Should work well in making the map for your scenarios.

Jeff. [:)]

Awesome, thanks man, very much!!

Deepstuff3725 -> RE: World War One Mod! (9/12/2016 3:53:33 AM)

Hey, Mike.

Just added a Gorizia, Italy map the The Blitz site:

http://www.theblitz.org/scenarios/world-war-one-mod/gorizia-map/b-15.htm?action=scenario&id=11723

Hope it helps you, or anyone else, with scenario creation. It's a large map so you might want to use parts of it for different battles. I've included the reference maps in the zip file so you can further edit from here if you want.

Jeff

BloodyBill76 -> RE: World War One Mod! (1/30/2017 7:26:23 AM)

Is it possible to install this mod in the original game from talonsoft. I have an old pc just to keep some of the old amazing games alive.

scaz -> RE: World War One Mod! (11/28/2017 2:46:29 AM)

Just found this mod and I think it's amazing! I always thought WW1 would be a good topic for this game system and this mod has proven that right. I like how complete it is too, with scenarios from all fronts of the war. I'd love to see it upgraded to the 2.0 system.

Great work!!![&o][&o][&o]

Hoplite1963 -> RE: World War One Mod! (5/9/2019 3:20:20 PM)

The Campaign Series Great War Mod has been in the public domain for quite some time now and having worked on secondary mods and extra scenarios for it pretty much since it came out I thought this would be a good time to look how down the line, (taking account of the way the Campaign Series has developed during that time) it might be developed into a blown CS game with associated DL content.

Available via the Dropbox link below is a PDF Table suggesting content for a base game and 5 associated DLC modules.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/aik5hrwis1x8nbg/CS%20Great%20War%20and%20its%20DLC%20modules.pdf?dl=0

This is of course very much a maximum spec wish list and the evolution of the CS series over time may of itself require further changes and modifications. My basic idea here is to leaven the step by step extension of coverage of the main great war battle fronts (which are not everybody’s cup of tea) with other theatres and conflicts which would broaden the appeal of the product to a wider audience, particularly those living in those parts of the world (such as Eastern Europe) where some of the less well known conflicts took place.

Obviously its going to be a while before any decisions are made here but it would be interesting to see what others think about this.

Kind regards
Ian

Finally got around to installing this to my CS...wow, just wow. Great job! Thanks!

Mr9million -> RE: World War One Mod! (8/20/2019 5:31:32 PM)

Compared to John Tiller's squad battles - first world war and this, which one should I pick? I find little to no info on either game so some info about scenario numbers, scales and realism would be greatly appreciated!

Warhorse -> RE: World War One Mod! (8/21/2019 12:10:35 AM)

Glad you guys like it!!

Warhorse -> RE: World War One Mod! (8/21/2019 12:13:06 AM)

The WW1 Mod only has a few scenario's, since the group that was working on it kinda went different ways. The original author of the game,Paul Adaway, gave me his blessing to release it, after I spent a few years updating what I could, would love to see some guys make scenario's for it!
