MirabelleBenou -> A question about strike (3/7/2014 3:34:24 PM)

Hello !

Do someone know a way to achieve this ?

I want to have waypoints for my strike A/C group :
=> 1 waypoint just before the target in order to change the altitude from "lowest" to my attack altitude
=> 1 waypoint just after the target in order to change the altitude from attach alt to lowest, for escape

Between these 2 waypoints, I want my differents A/C to attack the targets I had manually assigned to each other.

Actually, I think I have to :
- check the option "Ignore plotted course when attacking" just after the 1st waypoint
- Let the A/C do their attack run
- Uncheck the option "Ignore plotted course when attacking" after their attack run

I also have uncheck the RTB when Winchester.

Thanks for your advice :)

I'm trying to figure the best & efficient way to plan a strike for a group without too much micromanaging.

EDIT :

I've juste made a test. Even if I uncheck the option "Ignore plotted course when attacking" after the first waypoint, the A/C continue to follow the plotted course. I have to delete the plotted course, and then, they execute their attack run.

I so have to wait for each plan of the group to launch their bombs before plotting a new course for escape for everyone.

Another question, I've just found that in each Waypoint, we can specify if it's a "Nav", "Target" or "Form Up" Waypoint.

How do these parameters influence the game ? Maybe there is no use actually ?

Thanks again :)

What you're asking for is planned for the Advanced Strike Mission Editor.

The Waypoint types currently have no effect except changing the waypoint symbol, they were added in preparation for the forementioned mission editor [8D]

Thanks!
