Data -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (7/24/2011 8:47:23 PM)

Ed, TJ...how come we didn't find this for ourselves in Igard's cargo bay? You can never be certain you know everything with him [:)]

Igard -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (7/24/2011 8:55:10 PM)

Data, if I had one of those in my cargobay, I'd send it to you.[;)]

You mean to tell me that your tricorder scans haven't detected Igard's cloaked chest
of treasures that has the 256 bit algorithm encryption? [&:]

I would have tried to open it myself but there's a rumor that the last one who tried was
fried by an Varon-T disruptor blast (very nasty) that emanated from the chests' defense
system. [:-]

Kalthaniell -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (7/25/2011 9:40:03 AM)

I'm going to plant some necromorphs in that cargo bay so that I'll be called there to clear them out. Probably no one will notice if I switch health packs for romulan ale. They already look the same, just need to change the label. It worked well on the Ishimura with Jack Daniels XD

Data -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (7/25/2011 12:55:08 PM)

Ishimura with Jack Daniels, lolz....I loved the scary atmosphere in dead space 1 and 2, hope I'll not lose that when I think of Jack Daniels

J HG T -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (7/25/2011 2:56:32 PM)

BTW, Kalthaniell, one thing I just noticed: Don't you think your shipyards are missing one obvious ship, Hmmm? *Cough*Ishimura*Cough*

Data -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (7/25/2011 3:15:41 PM)

Souldn't that particular ship be dead in space? [:D]

J HG T -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (7/25/2011 3:47:46 PM)

Yeah... but didn't you play DS2? Ishimura wasn't forgotten. It "remembers" you. It will not forget.
My favourite chapter of DS2 BTW. Damn creepy and scary to be there again.

Data -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (7/25/2011 4:14:14 PM)

Hell yeah, it's a rare thing these days for a game to deliver such atmosphere.

Yeah, I thought of making Ishimura for DW but there is no clear top view of the ship anywhere in the game. I could play around with creating it from the grounds up but I doubt the effect could be satisfactory. Though Ishimura is not my favourite sc-fi ship ever. That place is reserved for Turian Cruiser from ME2.

Data -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (7/26/2011 3:35:53 PM)

So I'll guess we'll see a ground up version of that instead [:D]

Kalthaniell -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (8/7/2011 12:50:54 PM)

I have just uploaded a new shipset. I was using Romulan and Federation ships from Igard's ST mod, so you probably can figure out where the inspiration for the new ships came from. Apart from that I uploaded some planets from SoSE and new pirate ships. I have one more Vasari shipset already 50 % done. This will be the last shipset I will upload to my shipyards. Now I will concentrate on updates on what I already released. I may change few ships, repaint others or make new effects or planets.

Here's a tase of how will the last shipset look like (fans of originall Vasari designs will be certainly pleased):

Data -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (8/7/2011 2:50:57 PM)

I'm just playing SoSE Diplomacy...as the Vasari no less.
Even without that I'd appreciate the new stuff [&o]

Igard -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (8/7/2011 4:50:33 PM)

Looks great Kalthaniell! Looking forward to seeing the rest. [:)]

Shark7 -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (8/11/2011 10:31:50 PM)

Hmm, think these are going to be replacing the in game shipsets, I like them much better. [:)]

tjhkkr -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (8/12/2011 5:48:42 AM)

Yeah, it does look sharp!

Haree78 -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (8/12/2011 5:59:29 AM)

<3 the Kortul Devastator.
Don't feel too inclined to convert the Space Egg of the Vasari though please! [:D]

J HG T -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (8/12/2011 7:20:11 AM)

@Haree78

I though the correct name for that thing was "Space Whale", which it honestly looks like. [:)]
Useful ship though, TBH.

Data -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (8/12/2011 8:00:54 AM)

It does look like an egg or whale but for me it will always be Gomtuu from the TNG series [:)]

....Gomtuu wandered the galaxy for millenia after the traumatic experience, vainly searching for more of its kind. Alone and without a purpose, it eventually decided to commit suicide by orbiting the soon-to-go-supernova star Beta Stromgren....

Only in Star Trek they could come up with an suicidal emo egg-ship. Epic
The space whale (egg) is already in the set as colony ship guys.

Oh I've always called it the egg. I play Vasari exclusively and I'm compelled to use the egg because of how damn good it is but I wish it looked like ANY of the other Vasari Capital because it really is ugly :(
The entire Vasari fleet apart from the egg is stunning though.

Data -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (8/12/2011 7:50:40 PM)

Wow Haree, I found my soul mate [:)]
As far as I can see almost anyone plays as tec or advent, only stubborn me favors the vasari

J HG T -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (8/12/2011 8:24:47 PM)

@Haree78

True that. Many times I pick Vasari only to have Vulkoras Desolator at my disposal. That thing looks absolutely awesome.

@Data

Vasaris are the "alien" race of the game and thus attract less people. Same with every game with enough fans; Majority of people prefer the basic humans or similar humanoid races.
I like all three races in SoaSE very much, so I won't put them in any order. Still, I have played most with the Advent from what I can remember.

Data -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (8/12/2011 8:41:21 PM)

I like them all as well but calling the dark fleet...ooo, what a feeling [:)]

Haree78 -> RE: Kalthaniell's Shipyards (8/13/2011 1:35:59 AM)

I just looooove the mobility of the Vasari, them phase gates rock.
The Vulkoras Desolator is probably my fave too J HG T.
