Playing SPWAW without a sound card

Post by McGib »

A friend of mine is a peacekeeper overseas and I were gonna play some pbem to help him pass the time but the computer he has access to had a problem and they have disabled the sound card. He has tried installing and running the game but it crashes after the introduction. Is there any way to get the game to work without a soundcard? Anything in the setup of the game or something to that effect?
Thanks in advance

Sad to say, as far as I know, McGib, SPWaW will NOT work without a soundcard installed. If someone else has a workaround for this, I'm sure they'll let you know.

Unfortunately not. You must have a sound card.

A Packer fan in WV! Hey these next two games are KEY. Two wins but us in the drivers seat, lose either and its a MAJOR setback...Although I have to gloat I predicted the resurgence of da Bearse
this year...

And you can get Johnsonville Brats at McDonald's here in New England now...it don'get any better den dat, eh?

Here's hoping the Cold Curse of Tampa Bay continues (though I think the weather will be mild in GB this weekend, unfortunately)...

Ok, Paul, I'm really hoping I can convince you to come with Wild Bill to the planned Matrix/SPWaW Convention in Charleston next year. As for this weekend, I'm gonna start praying to the ghost of St. Vincent and the Spirits of the Frozen Tundra. "Ah, the power of cheese(heads)..." <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">
