Supply Base Preview Logistics

Post by arvcran2 »

Anyone understand what the '+#' is?

It does not appear to relate to the AP bonus.

I just assumed that when you select a specific asset, the number above is the amount of supply that asset contributes to the total.

So in your case i would assume the supply base effect has little impact on those tiles.

But i'm still learning, so i could be completely wrong :-)

All a supply base does is add Truck Action Points - and it can only be done once per Logistical source as far as I know.

The Level I base adds 50 Truck Action Points. So that is why I am confused with the +#s.

It does not add Truck AP. It restores some used up ones. But it also has a limit to how much it can restore.

Noticeably it did not split evenly along the easter side (34/2 is 17, not 16).

The detailed log/prediction for the Hex in the traffic sign interface might give you a better idea what those numbes are and where they come from.

The wording in the manual suggests AP points bonus but it will not restore any lost truck points - from what I recall.

From section 4.2.11 (pg 106)
The Logistical Points
that enter the Hex with the
Supply Base are receiving
+50 AP extra range.

I noticed that having a supply base on a west road from SHQ/Truck station, with a second supply base on the east side of the SHQ does not function as expected. One of the supply bases (the second) will not work.

Does that make sense?

You can not just look at the overview - you have to look at each specific "supply runner".
There is a limit to how many AP can be added to any runner via supply bases. If that limit was alraedy used up, then the supply bases do nothing.

No, you need to show at least a screenshot at the very least.

For further clarification:
  • Capital has a Truck Station I (Truck Station II finished building, Truck Station III commencing construction)
  • East side @67 purple rectangle has a Truck Station I.
  • East Supply Base @100 purple rectangle.
  • West Supply Base @100 purple rectangle.

Unfortunately I was not able to 'see' the benefit of any supply base reported in the T mode Logistical Analysis pane for the selected Hex(es). Or I missed being able to see it ;).

Well yeah, you have the "standalone" truck station also sending points back to the capital...

The supply base was functioning before the extra truck station was built. It was holding steady for 15 hexes. My point is this does not occur on the west side (second supply base built after the second truck station). Interestingly when I upgraded the west supply base to level II it started extending and the first supply base remaining at level I no longer extended.

Is there any significance to the 'standalone' term you used? I built the second Truck Station as a new zone, so it is in a new emerging town. Primarily, I did this because I did not want administrative strain on the capital.

No, just to separate the two.

At this point we need the savegame to have any hope of figuring out what is going on.
