Box Upgrade Option now available on Matrix!

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

If you already own a digital version of the game from our site, Steam (or anywhere else!) and would like to add a box and full colour printed manual to your collection, just click on the buy Boxed Upgrade button. You will receive a box of the product you have chosen, a printed manual in full colours and a DVD with in an interactive version of our catalogue. It is very simple and straight forward.

You don't have to register your game or send us your game serial number, just add the product to the cart and check out!

This option is currently available on a limited selection of titles:

- Gary Grigsby's War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945

- Distant Worlds: Universe

- Command: Modern Air Naval Operations Wargame of the Year Edition

We are planning to add more titles with this option so stay tuned!

Please note this is not a copy of the game and does not include a Steam code or serial. If you want to buy the game please go to the games page. This is an upgrade option for people who already own the digital game.

I would also like to know if it's the full manual and not the first 5 sections of the manual.
I would consider buying if it's the full manual

If it is the same manual that has been shipped with the game then it is B6(?) format, 130 pages.

I bought the original boxed set, which cost $10 more than digital only at that time.
The manual was out of date at release.

Yes, it's deceitful. Never buy the boxed version of a computer game. It's pointless. I've given away $10 for worse, but it certainly taught me to warn the rest who can be saved.

The manual of WitW is a completely different beast and really worth the extra money.

WitW dev team (aircraft data, partial data/scenario maintainer)

Back in late March or April when I paid for the game, I paid for the upgraded version with this manual. I vaguely recall it would be sent in May. We're now halfway through May. When can I expect it to arrive?
