pursuit casualties

Lost a battle and received a single pursuit casualty. I had but one corps in the battle so the game handled the casualties. I had sufficient cavalry and infantry such that the loss could have been taken either way. The game choose to eliminate three infantry rather than a single cavalry. Is this done randomly? Does the game choose infantry before cavalry during pursuit losses? Is there a setting that can force the game to take cavalry losses before infantry?

Generally the code will take the most cost-effective casualties. Cav if it has to, but militia first and then infantry and then cavalry. There's no setting for this. I could maybe look at a standing order option down the road but it's usually not an issue except for single-corps battles?
