Where is the beach for Singapore?

The hex that says beach is a beach for the land to the west, not Singapore...

You'll have to take it from land.

It's all set up from land. Just run down and take it.

Why would it be misleading? Click on one of the Japanese units at sea just southeast of Saigon on turn 1. Click Z. There are dozens of invasion hexes within reach of those units on turn 1. One happens to be next to Singapore. If you look at the situation, though, land units are poised to north of Singapore take Singapore and you don't need to invade there. But you also have the option of a landing beside Singapore if you want to, though probably not the best option on Dec. 7. However, who knows, later in the game it might be useful to the Allies.

Thanks for asking... yes, I'm in Dec. '43 and looking to invade as Allies.

Must have missed Z somewhere; I give it a go...

In the Hot Keys and Mouse Functions section of the manual. I usually don't use hot keys in games, just a personal thing, but this one is really helpful:

Z = Show all potential invasion hexes within a fleet’s range

I know. It makes no sense but I've just always played games and done work on the computer without using hot keys in most cases unless I had to. I just feel comfortable that way. And the Z for invasion hexes is one of the cases where you need to use the hot key. I took a course for certification for a video editing program a few years back, and I had to learn a lot of hot keys. Got the certification but didn't like it at all.

Improvement requests:

1. make a mouse UI for this function.

2. add the hotkeys (even though they are not re-mappable) to the settings section so they can be accessed ingame.
