More Small/Medium Scenarios Needed

Post by JamesHunt »

I recently discovered WITPAE and have great fun playing the smaller scenarios.

Are there more small/medium sized scenarios to be found on the web or in the works that aren´t listed in the sticky "Scenario available" thread?

Yep - Downfall is not on that list. Updated as recently as a month ago. Hold onto your helmet with this one.

The invasion of Japan Mainland and Pacific Very-Late-War, and you can even play as the Japanese, what an epic scenario.

I was thinking to play this as the Japanese. Just wonder how to commence the defense against the Allied mammoth.

I also like to play this as the Allies but I´ve noticed that as the Allied player its up to you to organize all task forces and amphibious forces completely from the scratch. While this is exciting for many such huge amphibious ops might still be beyond my skill level. As there are AI plans for the Allies which I guess will organize their forces according to a script, is there a way as Allied player to use the AI plans as a template? I would like to start this just moments before landings commence.

Is it possible to start a AI vs AI play, let the Allied AI follow its script, interrupt when happy, and then reload it with human Allied vs Japanese AI?

Yes, play computer V computer. I think that F9 is the key to stop it.

I have played as allies. My advise for the Japanese is, forts, supplies, get as much back from China and Korea as you can, as fast as you can before the SINKEX starts. As for playing the Allies? Organizing all that stuff and scheduling transport is the whole reason for the game! Get ashore, get a big port and its on to Tokyo!
