Next patch in final beta testing

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Thank you for the update.

Do we have a differentiation of gun mounting in FRONT(F) and Center Line(CL) position similar to WitP AE?

I do not know that the situation is in WitP, but yes we do have different positions.

I have a bug (in the recent patch) with disappearing AA trains. Is it a known bug or should I post details?

Will the AI target urban areas that do not provide terror points?
The boogabooga doctrine for CMO: Any intentional human intervention needs to be able to completely and reliably over-ride anything that the AI is doing at any time.

It targets the rail centers (Overlord and Avalanche) and the urban area gets pasted collaterally, so yes and no.

This weekend I got the new feature working where you can click on a flight during the reaction phase and access the group display and flight data instantly, including the individual pilots flying the aircraft in the flight. No more digging through the OOB display to see how a particular flight or group is doing during the action. I have wanted this feature forever.

That is great! I only wish I knew something about coding so I could help. But such is life. I have added a few pilots just for fun to my games. Now I might be able to see how Rita, Gene, Marilyn are doing in a dog fight. As it is now, I have to wait until the day is over to see such results.

Thanks a lot for your continuous work on improving this great game!
I am very much looking forward to the new patch. Have played this game first in the late 90s when BoB was part of a collection, and am now enjoying the BtR part. There have been so many improvements since v1.02 which was the first I played after some 15 years, so by now I had to restart my '43 Full Axis Campaign several times. [&o]

Any news?
The Nazis entered this war under the rather childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone else, and nobody was going to bomb them. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind.

Any news?

We are still trying to iron out a couple of glitches and one of our testers caught a minor problem that goes back to the original release. So we are progressing, please be patient.

Any more news on when the patch might be out? Eager to start a new campaign on this, but will wait a few more weeks if the patch is due soonish.

Will games need to be restarted or will this patch apply automatically to existing games?

Unfortunately you will have to restart. The good news though is that I think we have a winner here, and we won't need any patches for a while. The bad news is that if something pops up, even the slightest changes in the code seems to cause weird stuff with the in-game data and complete restarts would still be advised.

The playtest team did a stellar job trying to break things so let's hope it's the former.

Thank you Simovitch for the fast response. Guess I'll be putting my campaign on hold then until the update and starting new.
