Build 1147.6 release notes (changes from B1147.5)
-----------------------------------------------------------------

* Additional significant improvements to mine warfare:
- Map shows the connection (a line) between the mine and who is clearing it.
- The sweep from a ship starts offset from the unit location, to simulate the sweep hanging back from the stern. This pushes back the mine explosions as they are caught in the sweep.
- MCM gear can have a delay factor to when it can become active.
- Improved actions for MCM-oriented torpedoes like Seafox, so they can look for new mines if they miss the initial target mine
- Pathfinding on mine-clearing mission is improved so as to not to spend too long finding paths. If a mine is detected in the path to the next waypoint, the path is shortened rather than recalculated. This gives a better flow to the mission.
- Units can be given a set of waypoints to follow, and the unit will attempt to follow this path while diverting to clear any mines within range.
- Mine-hunting torpedoes will be automatically fired against bottom and rising mines (which cannot be swept). This compromise has been made because a unit might fire the whole magazine against the first lot of mines detected, despite being able to sweep them normally. This does not stop the user from manually firing the torpedo using standard BOL.
- MCM gear is not immediately available when a ship turns unless the turn angle is small; this simulates the disruption to to the sweep as it straigtens out again (one cause of previous issues with sweeping was that the sweep was always active even during sharp turns, which meant a ship could set off multiple mines as it swang around, causing lots of damage to itself).
- Aircraft OTOH quickly correct the sweep, but they fly an arc which can put them out of position for the mine they are after. They will try to self-correct and aim closer to the target mine; however this may not happen immediately. As the sweep is active, they could sweep mines that fall under their sweeps so the multiple attempts to line up the mine is counter by this.
- Ships will tend to back away from any other ships performing mine clearing operations. The sweep will be 'turned off' in these cases so as not to set off mines in that location.

Even though the mine clearing mission has been cleaned up to help minimize damages, this is a risky business for ships and severe damage can still happen.

Thank you, but the d/l you link to is nearly the entire CMO installation, nearly 300 Mb and has many files that have modified dates from a long time ago. Is this intentional? Were you not intending a simple delta from B1147.5?
The boogabooga doctrine for CMO: Any intentional human intervention needs to be able to completely and reliably over-ride anything that the AI is doing at any time.

The last couple of quick updates were just the .exe file and nothing else. This one is more typical in that it touches on several different folders (including a DB update, which is always pretty substantial).

If the beta download is too much stress for your system, you should probably wait until the full release is out. Its just a beta release.

Not sure what you're looking at but the entire CMO installation package is close to 6GB.

In reality there are only about 4 files needed out of that zip I think was the ultimate point of the person bringing it up if they had 1147.4, not that reapplying the others should cause a problem, if anything it's helpful to someone who may not have been fully up to date with 1147.4 baseline.

Four I actually noticed changed\added:
Command.exe
4kfix.exe
\db\db3k_486.db
\Scenarios\Turorials\Uncle Mark's Tutorials: 5 - Motozintla Incursion, 2015.scen

For beta update file size: It may be the whole update file tree which is provided regularly as Official Updates.

These updates acts like services pack once provided by microsoft for windows, no matter how old your installation is (In this case, CMO's first public version), you always have all the updated file to get your installation to the latest status.

Just to clarify, the deprecated records are all duplicates or otherwise practically obsolete so nothing has actually been 'removed'. This was a necessary step to resolve the ongoing issues with some weapons/stores (AA-10 and AN/ALQ-131) without breaking community scenarios, and will also allow us to have more flexibility in managing records going forwards.

Thanks! (been wait for this one (#13968) to continue certain scenes)

"Tweak: Lua SpecialActions "
--
Which tweaks? [:)]
The stuff that referred to in the Lua form...

New: AddSpecialAction({table_select}) - side is mandatory
Added optional to table_select
'side=' to limit functions to that side
'mode=' use 'remove' on SetSpecialAction() to delete SA
use 'list' on GetSpecialAction() to list SA on side if supplied, or all sides if not
Wrapper/table_select parameters
side = side GUID
ScriptText = Lua script (note script as a multi line string requires a '\r\n' to be appended after each line so it is formated in the Editor.

@apache85 - Yup all pretty much duplicates other than the LAMDIS, rip the longer range (main difference), but I assume it wasn't intended in the first place. ;) I figured it might be helpful if folks knew if they'd happen to be scripting any of those to flip to the alternates.

The overall data dump is great, but is the Cargo System fixed related to allowed tonnage capacities? I know that this requires a major fix and might take a while. Just let us know. Thanks.
