Neomountain Federation

Post by zgrssd »

"Hotheads only cause trouble" - common saying in teh Neomountain Federation

It was a hothead, that tried to terraform the planet into one with arrable land and liquid water. It was a hothead that did not consider the process turning the atmosphere 99% Xenon and drop the temperatures drastically, due to no more CO2 being in the atmosphere.

It was hotheaded Reformist groups, that tried to storm the planetary senate.

It was hotheaded Reformist and Loyalist groups, that turned the planet towards all out war. All out thermonuclear war.

It was hotheads that nuked Zetherum

We do not know who caused the unmanned spaceship to crash ont Sopotus, but it was propably hotheads too.

It propably was a hothead that released a bioweapon, causing mass casualties in Rafarus. Not a lot of natural disesaes on this planet.

It was hotheads, that lead to the infighting and casualties in Esolus.

We are pretty sure it was not a hothead, causing the earthquakes that wiped out Sopotio, Vosolion and Apelia. It is beter that way, they already caused enough damage without such a power.

But definitely hotheaded religious folk that wiped out Somanis, Osolio and Rafarus. But Rafarus maybe have been more of a mercy killing.

Some used to argue, my father was a hothead when he lead teh rebellion that overthrew Neomountains senate. But he was not, he was thinking calmly. They were just bickering hotheads.
Also saying that nowadays is punishable by death.

Winter 789 AA (1):
- BETRAYAL!
It was my father that first signed the agreement for water with Morac. They would mine it from the ocean, we made various other concessions. But now their government has been overthrown - cursed hotheads! They have canceeld our deal, meanign we suddenly have no water supply!
But, we can survive this! There is still a untapped water source south of the city. Luckily we have plentyfull reserves. So at least our troops can survive without having to resort to the traders. They did still make a lot of money from us, for the machinery and metal.

Of course, other things happened as well:
- a time of bureacracy has begun. Our Bureaucracy is strong as never before
- The people were still uncertain about me. If I would be like my father was. My ascension speech made it clear, there will be no return to that time of uncertainty caused by the squabling senate!
- we need to decide on a new council. Clearly the secret service council must have absolute priority! The sudden change in in Government in Morac should have been anticipated. The best guard against betryal, is a well work spy aparatus.
- we found a underground complex, with a GR era AI Mainframe. A still working GR era AI Mainframe. Luckily unlike the Morac situation (or thanks to it), we can keep this one under wraps. Guards have been posted so nobody starts trying to talk to that AI until we had some time to stabilize
- the advance on Doggermountain has been planned for a long time. The water situation is not a reason to stop it - if anything, it is a reason to advance all the more agressively!

Summer 789 AA (2):
- our militia helkd a impromtu parade. This is not acceptable behavior of our subjects. Still, giving them a large bonus is sure to ensure their loyalty in the time ahead.
- presumably there are disatisfied elements in Morac. Presumably, they would be willing to support us should we invade. However they need some money up front. We have nowhere near the credits, after our payment to the milita. And somehow, that sounds too much like a trap. It was rejected.
- the question who should lead our new secret council came up. Fiona Greensun (III/53/40/20) would be the obvious choice. She had spent a lot of time on teh other side of the law, or adventuring across the planet until our solid grasp on military and securty attracted her. She has undoubtedly the best experience in Covert ops of our entire cabinet. Unfortunately putting her in right now not Politcally feasible (not enough PP after other stuff).
- we found a Rogue Doctor operating in Neomountain. His work is somewhat twisted, but he is helping our scientists and doctors in a unofficial capacity. We can not close his lab right now. But we will get back to him very soon.
- the Farmer community "Polymer Federation" to our southeast demanded - yes, demanded - we clarify our relations to them. Decide for peace or hostility. Under any other circumstance, we would have thrown their diplomats out. But at this time? And considering how easily they could invade some vulnerablte territory to the south? I guess a peace deal is acceptable - for now.
- war has been declared on Doggermountain. The charge on the city has been atempted, but was repelled. These raiders do know how to fight, at least!
- we reduced the financial incentive for poeple to join the army by 1/3, but set the quota up to 700. Including the 300 Mercs joining us every season, we might get as much as 1000 Recruits this way! But we have to see how many people only joined the army for the recruitment bonus.

Winter 790 AA (3):
- weakened from the previous attacks, the 2nd batallion was pushed back severely. 5:1 losses against our side. But the enemy did not secure the region, so the well-rested 5th batallion was able to retake it.
- the Elite Army demands their candidate to be put into the reserve pool. However, Nitro Hicks turned out to be pretty much useless.
- the Anima Circle request a blessing for a gathering in Neomountain. However this religion is clearly opposed to our goals. And we can not abide such a secretive bunch in our midst! It was rejected.
- we finally got enouhg political power to change shift Fiona Greensun from the Supreme Command Council to the secret service.
- Greensuns first attempt to send a Spy team into Doggermountain was a more then complete sucess. Soon we will know everything there is to know about their movements! (she was incapble of just normal sucess. 39 vs 1D100+114).
- the recruitment in Neomountain is still going perfectly, despite the reduced incentive. The quota was easily fullfilled.
- however the work on the ice-mine hit a serious delay, due to mistakes with the metal planing
- we had to buy some metals from the traders, to afford repalcement troops for our front. Primarily MG's for now, but a few rifle and suit kits coul also be made.
- artillery bombardment of Doggermountain has been ordered and executed. Limited damage to troops. We may be able to repeat that 1-2 times, without risking the complete destruction of their farming dome. It should still be very usefull once we own that city.

Summer 790 AA (4):
- The Raiders did not attack our troops. They may be a lot weaker then originally realized
- our spy network is giving us perfect data on enemy troop dispositions. They can not hide, if our soldiers know where to expect them as reliably as their commanders do.
- The people finally started to develop a proper Culture if Discipline and Obedience. Taxes are paid diligently by the people. And new Military Police makes sure our soldiers do not run at the first sight of enemy weapons flashes. (Discipline Regime Feat)
- the post in teh Supreme Command Council is freshly vacant. The job fell to Ian Betlegeuze (II/32/35/35), formerly advisor. due to his high verstaility as well as decent Trade and Diplomacy Skills. The Governor of Neomountain would have been a better diplomat, but his skills otherwise are pretty lackluster
- Daggermountain has been surrounded on 5/6 of it's border. A small corridor was left open to all the enemy units to flee for their live, ones the attack comes. The Bombardment of the city itself comenced, but did very little to the troops. Further bombardment must be limited, or risk destroying the agricultural dome
- the new leader of the Supreme Council made a attempt at increasing the income tax, but he has severe issues with the limited leverage of his position. A dedicate Interior council would do significantly better.
- from the south/west, teh Vobarus Territorium has been encroachung on our land. We have to figure out who they are, that they are that brazen. The next spy team we send, will likely be agains them.
- the ice mine has - finally - finished construction. That left some metals over to equip the remaining replacement troops we still needed. Raising additional units could become a concrete option very soon! Meanwhile the icemine only has to run at about 25%

Winter 791 AA (5):
- our people finally started realizing that only I have the Strenght of Will Nesseary, to get the big things done. Soon we will have bunker-buster units among our troops, that will deal with entrenched Infantry in particular. (Strenght of Will Regime Feat)
- time for another policy speech. The pressing issues were increasing soldier morale, increasing teh security of our zones or war with Tarsus/Morac, the great betrayers. We made sure they understand tha security is the biggest concern right now.
- a spy team has been send to the Voabrus Territory. Another one to Tarsus/Morac. Both operations we are extreme success.
- The position of Advisor is now up for Grabs. Dexter Hamal is the most suiteable choice. But our Bureaucracy seems unwilling to accept him for now (2 dismiss)
- another charge was attempted on Daggermountain. Casualties were 600 on both sides. No progress. However replacing the troops was no issue, given the now freed up industrial capacity.

Summer 791 AA (6):
- The Raiders from DM did not try any attacks
- Our People developed a health drive to Volunteer for our forces (Volunteerism Profile Feat)
- Tarsus is currently run by Religious Fanatics. They have about 6.2k Soldiers. What they lack in weaponry even compared to the Neomountain Militia, they make up for in unwillingess to die
- the Vorabus Territory seems to be run by roving bands of mutants. We could make out 4 large groups of 5, 14, 24 and 30-hundred individuals. However their gear is even worse then that of the Fanatics, so they pose no credible danger
- sercurity forces managed to locate a Independant Lab. We can not allow unsupervised Science like this in our borders. There are enough dangers, without some hotheaded, unsupervised scientist adding to them! Their lab was closed and hte member enlisted into our Bureacracy
- It is time to add a standing reserve to our SHQ. The equivalnet of 1/5th of our Deployed Troops are held in reserve.
- Our stockpiles of rare metals are currently not needed, so they have been sold to allow a more reliable payment of our workers
- a cabinet meating on the Anima Circle could finally be sheduled
- recruitment quotas in Neomountain are still being met, actually cause a bit of a food issue. Time to drop the incentives down to 0. As the private salary is also exceptionally low (1 mCredit), we oculd drop Worker salaries by 20% to 4 mCredits. The workers are not happy about it, as expected.
- it is time we send out spies far and wide. We have heard rumors of no less then 3 other major powers on the planet. We need to figure out who they are, what they want and if they can be used - or have to be fought. For that purpose we send our spies far and wide:
"Primaria" from Rochu, west on pretty much the opposite side of the planet
"Morilier Commune" from Morilier, wich is at the southpole, south of Primaria
"Poitac Republic" from Poitac, also at the soutpole. Aside from Poitac and Morellier, tehre seems to be large swaths of land without surviving cities between the major players.

Winter 792 AA (7):
- one group of mutants started encroaching on our territory. Militia is tryng to intercept them
- the meeting on teh Anima Circle has commenced. And it is indeed without doubt, that they are against the direction our government is going! We changed our policies to be a lot less accepting of them. However it seems it would go to far to outright Outlaw them - at this time.
- one troop of Daggermountain raiders has been surrounded by our militia. Unfortunatley they prooved to well entrenched to dislodge
- there is a metal mining spot near Neomountain - jsut next to the Agri Dome in Ruth - that has been left untapped - until now. It is high time that was corrected!
- we got some data back from our spies and indeed should be able to contact them any time we want:
All 3 of them are Republics. So bunches of hotheaded people arguing with hotheaded people about hotheade people tpics and never getting anything done.
- our troops are not yet ready to continue the assault onto Doggermountain
- the people of Neomountain seem perfectly happy to join our military, even if there is no monetary gain it for them. We actually hard to start sending people home, just so tehy would not eat away our entire food stockpile! That clearly means we need more food in teh not to distant future. Doggermountaisn dome farm could actally be very helpfull in this regard.

Summer 792 AA (8)
- Those moutants have been moving dangerously close to Neomountain! The militia is shifting to intercept them, before the people in the city can feel in danger
- our spies in Morellier found some dirt on one the current, leaders, that could be given to the right party. The "Comemrcial Factions" - realpoltikers - are the weakest of the bunch. An ideal target to keep in power.
- the question what our next council should be came up. Staff and Interiot are particulary enticing. Unfortunately all the good leaders for either of them area already in a rather well fitting job. That means, we need the Interior Councile more! Our best option may be to move Fiona Greensun over from the Secret Service Council
- the third Charge on Daggermountain was a success! We lost about 600 men, but the enemy lost 1400 and a few artillery pieces - way more then that- and we managed to get the city under control. Luckily the private dome survived this, securing food production for the forseeable future.
- the 1st Bigrade has secured the town and started setting up defensive Positions (Defense Posture).

Summer 793 AA (9):
- The raiders even without their city, seem unwilling to give up
- one raider group was way to close to Doggermountain for Comfort. We attack. 1:6 losses
- we have some minor issues with Drake Waterline, Commander of the 1st Brigade. A problem as he is basically running our entire military right now!
- we also ran a bit short on ammo. So we ordered anohter 1000 Units to be sure.
- the Justice Humanist Knights demanded we put one of their candidates into the reserve pool. As the goal is getting rid of that old-way faction, it was rejected.
- they also demanded our Administration to reach a certain size. That demand was way more palatable.
- A try to intimidate the people of Doggermountain failed and the people of Neomountain felt spoken to instead (Paranoia, 50% chance for tight roll). Wich is not the worst, considering that a new Street Drug has caused quite some unrest there as well (Chemical High, could only hit the right city)
- discussions regarding the raiders coult - the so called "mystic Temple" - have been sheduled
- Oliver Quintlane was put in charge of the Interior Council (III/37/35/27). While he has as little skill in Administration as basically everyone else, he has a acceptable intelligence and is able to learn quickly. And his Membership in the Elite Army did not hurt either!
- the Interior councils focusses with be Taxation and Human resources
- the new Governor of Doggermountain is another question. Chunk Humanday is propably our best bet. (II/36/15/44). While he lacks any real skill, he has soemwhat acceptable potential.
- his quotas have been set to be a close similarity to Neomountains. Particulary in the Recruit department.
- the quote for the watermine has been increased to 50%. That should prepare it for a soon to be expansion of the Agri dome

Summer 793 AA (10):
- the Justice Humanist Knights are gaining traction among the people. New Secret Service reports indicate that as much as 43% of the population is behind them
- soldier morale could be better. However finally the first few bunker bust and Military Police units have been forming.
- the meeting on the Mystic Temple revealed, that they are about as usefull as teh Anima Followers: Not at all! They prefer Meritocracy and Commerce. But more importantly, their Hedonism would make it unessesarily hard to recruit soldiers and workers - that makes them a big danger. Again we put policy into place to disincentivise people following them
- there were Protests in Doggermountain. We squashed those protests with the entire 1st Brigade. We did however loose 500 of the Soldiers.
- there was a minor worker strike in Neomountain. the were treated the same as those Protesters in Doggermountain. We lost 300 militia soldiers.
- a unit of recon buggies has been formed and attached to the 1st Brigade.
- There is one spot of Rare Metals we have known off for some time now. And now we actually have the time and resources to exploit them. The Construction of the mine has begun, but delays are expected due to limited Industrial Capacity and Metal Mining
- a attempt to raise the Income taxes has failed
- we found an Ancient Archieve. We got the Guided RPG tech. Not exactly the most impressive technology we could have gotten. But usefull none the less

Winter 784 AA (11):
- Food supply got a bit tight for a while. Luckily the partial repair of the Doggermountain farm has fixed that.
- the Justice Humanist Knights wanted us to again hire their Candidate! Of course, it was once again rejected.
- Neomountain is now populous enough to be considered a minor City. However, for the time being we will not tell the population. They will only get ideas regarding "Minimum Standart of Living" or some such
- those Mutant bands of Vobarus have really been agressive lately
- we do not quite have spies everywhere, but at least everywhere that maters! Each of the 3 Major factions, as well as the minors around us have a Ring of 6 spies working within their borders
- the Supreme Command Council has been re-focussed on getting more political power for the Government. The best ideas, the best political shemes - are useless without the nessesary clout to implement them!

Summer 794 AA (12):
- As the former Doggermountain raiders keep falling back, so do the mutants keep advancing. It may be nessary to declare war on them soon!
- it is time to again look for a new advisor. The job needs someone that can either learn really fast (Capacity), or has a wide range of skills (Improvisaion, 6th Sense, wide range of skills). It sounds like Dexter Hamal would fit the bill (I/19/28/24, 10 Improvisation) seems to fit the bill acceptably. He also belongs to teh Elite Army
- Double Opportunity for Poitac. We found some dirt to make sure the passive Realpolitikers stayed in place. The option to procure and gift the leader a thing he was looking for however? Not acceptable
- we put headquarters for our militia in both our cities.

Winter 795 AA (13):
- Our recruiters have learned the proper strongarming tactics, to make sure recruitment quotas are met - even with no payment (Strongarming Regime Feat)
- Draker Waterline - Commander 1st Brigade - keep slipping in how much he likes us. He wants the Government to go into a direction we can not go (Government, opposed to Enforcement)
- we managed to encircle and wipe out the bulk of the Raider forces. Their land is now far enough away that we proposed a peace deal and the remainders were easily convinced not to challenge us!
- a minor worker strike in Doggermountain. We send the 1st Brigade SHQ in to supress them
- our spiece again got some usefull dirt, this time in Primaria. Same procedure as last time.
- we got a lukewarm invitation to a Celebration in Poitac. It was ignored.
- the Mines in Neomountain have been finished. What we need now, is Barracks for the long ago promised security. And we will also need a solar array, to power all that technology in Neomountain
- the interior council failed at getting a sales tax increase through. Hopefully it will not take to long until the leader there has "learned the ropes".
- there is oddly Hunger in Doggermountain. Despite us graciously providing food for them.

Summer 795 AA (14):
- the people finally realized that they should submit to my demands, when I make them. Even Cabinet members and Commanders are not save from my vengeance (Submission Regime Feat)
- Our Logistics network is top notch. We make sure the Trocks come on time! (Efficiency Goals Regime Feat)
- I Tasked Fiona Greensun (Secret Servic Council) to take particular care for inner security. Our spying operations are sufficient for the time being
- some of our troops apparently tried to defect to the form Doggermountain Raiders. The Leader of the Raider "Empire" even dared to tell us not to interfere. Of course we did!
- a Upgrade of the Dome farm has begun. Apparently food is a bit more scarce then I first realized.
- some selling of Rare Metals to buy Food should get us overe the timespan until the Farms are all operating properly
- one reserve pool member tried to get a Faction rolling, the "Trader Society" (Mind +3). The Interior Council and Secret Service council have been tasked to make sure he retires. It is up to him wich option for that he picks...

Welp, I lost turn 14. Something zigged when it should have zagged and the primary savegame is still stuck on Turn 5.
Guess that Turn 14 above was a alternatie History. Maybe a wierd dream the Leader had?

Summer 795 AA (14):
- the JHK demanded we hire their leader. The Faction is still in Opposition to my Autocratic Rule, so naturally it was rejected
- Refugees appeared at the border with the Daggermountain "Empire". The "Emperor" contact us, requesting we send them back. We agreed. If they can not even conquer their own territory, they should stay where they are! (fist vs heart, can not get heart)
- I orderd Fiona Greensun to focus her efforts mostly on Internal Security.
- Food is once again an issue. A upgrade of the Neomountain farm is overdue
- Selling Rare Metals to buy 500 food should help keep us afloat until repairs and constructions in the farming area are finished
- a large Zone called "Totenium" to our south is still a lot of terra incognita. Sending a spy team easily fixed that. And we now have 6 spies in every adjacent territory
- it looks like Primaria took over the zone of Grimself to their east. That actually brings them close to the borders for my planned expansion

Winter 796 AA (15):
- the militia is forming a wall against the mutants. They are still scurying about our borders. Hopefully this show of force will convince them not to press their luck any further
- Ian Betelgeuze, Director of Supreme Command Council, Leader of the JHK - has apparently been supporting Democratic Acitivits taht comitted sabotage. The people of Neoumountain are Angri. I am angrig. Not hotheaded angry, more like that simmering heat of a heater under a blanket. This association has bene shattered and Ian punished (it was Autocracy, no choice there)
- the decsion for anotehr council came up. There is nobody in our Reserve pool or Government usefull for any of the councils I want. So, the Model Council it is!
- There is a Demagogue in Doggeremountain, egging people on to leave our real towards the free folk regions. With the help of the Advisor, Governor Humanday managed to arrest him.
- another Group of Refugess from the Doggermountain "Empire". This time traders, that wanted to bribe us to let them in. We send them back, for similar reasons as the refugees (it was Commerce or Fist, I want fist)
- the constructions in Neomountain both hit slight delays. Apparently the need of workers for the Dome Farm caused some issues with teh construction of the Barracks.
- 500 more units of food from the Trades will make sure there is no issue with food supply

Summer 796 AA (16):
- with the new Organisation, the demand to increase our Admin Level has been easily done
- in the far north-east, we found hte "Freedom" refugee camp. And our good scouts found enough GR Great to equip 200 Soldiers
- the militia requested emergency funds, to get over a ammuniton shortage. Indepting them further by giving them 300 Credits suited my goals perfectly
- The Doggermountain "Empire" wanted to hire some Military Adivsors to help get their toorps up to speed. Apparently our preformance had them dumbfounded. Happy to oblige.
- who to put into the Model Design Council? It is the interior council all over again, with nothing but bad choices. It looks like Tank Oldsight (IV/35/37/45) is the best candidate among equally bad ones. But he seems way more usefull as a Commander. Looks like it will be up to Trina Geode (II/33/31/36)
- the design most needd right now, is a better Artillery. The callibre could be easily doubeled, with no negatve impact of moveability
- the interior council is still pretty bad at it's job, failing yet again to get a tax increas through

Playing on 1.03beta9 from now on.
Game is still a beta 6 child

Winter 797 AA (17):
- the demand for security has been fullfilled
- Our Enforcement is very efficient at finding excess resources in teh Bureaucracy and get leaders to give 110%, when I demand it
- the new Artillery is finished, and it is everything we hoped for. A massive improovement in Callber and weapon desing, with improovements in the armor as well. Tiem to try a similar upgrade for our line troops
- the workers in Doggermountain are striking - again. It seems they do not understand how good they have it. I send in the military to beat them down - again
- there have been slavers abducting people in Doggermountain. But even with out support and he Advisor, the Governor failed containing the situation. Dnager increase significantly.
- time to put some Bureactractic Offices and Barracks int Doggermountain
-the mutant bands in Vorabus seem to be...growing. And quickly at that. I have to think of a way to defeat them. Another Brgiade? Propably. I would go for Motorized, but that just doubles the amount of personel I will be needing
- the Interior Council finally managed to find a Senior with some skill Kenizie Beetfort (III/45/29/22). She is rather good in investigation, Intimidation Interrogation and even bribery. Unfortunately, she also has strong democratic leanings
- the Militia house in Neomountain has been upgraded to the 3rd - and final - level.
- the 1st Brigade is moving towards Morac, at marching pace. It is time to deal with the betrayers!

797 AA (18):
- In the north-east, our militia killed about 800 raiders in self-defense.
- Line Troops II are already finished. An upgrade across the board. The are twice as hard to kill, and pack more of a punch then they ever did
- the new Deisng goal is the MG. The "Zero Gun" realy earning that name, by being pretty much garbage. Let us see if our Design council can not make something better from scratch!
- Bruce Osboren (Governor Neomountain) wants to hang pictures of me and a bunch of other Acomplished heroes into Schools. A perfectly good idea!
- the opportunity for another Policy Speech came. Of all the pressing issues, only Improoving our industrial assets seemed to not give them people confusing messages about the goal (only Profile friendly choice)
- Primaria is prime in on thing - dirt on the current leaders. The Realpolitikers are already firmly in the Majority - and they will stay that way as long as our spies have anything to say about that!
- I was somewhat worried if we could get enough workers for the incerased farmign area. But that turned out to be no issue what so ever
- Doggermountain mean while seems to have issues getting anything close to the required workers for the building project
- Not one - but two - major projects have been started in Neomountain. The upgrade of the industry is to fullfill a certain demand. The upgrade of the High Command HQ however, will be finished for me and the Cabinet.
- machine parts are needed to finish the construction. While making them ourself is certainly an option, it seems way more usefull to buy them from the Traders - for Rare Metals, of course. They were really cheap too, at barely 50 Credits
- the projects also mean the army will have to wait longer for new gear, of course
- finally the Interior council started earning it's keep. They managed to get a increase of the sales tax through
- and a double whammy - they managed to get one of the one Member of the "Justice Humanist Knights" to retire

Winter 798 AA (19):
- it looks like Morag/Tarsus had the same idea. Their units having begun claiming territory that has belonged to us for years now! That means our troops are already meeting in the field.
- anothe Secret Survey. It seems the "Elite Army" clearly has the most support with 72%, with the JHK at 27 and the "Trader Soceity" at 1%.
- our Armed forces have developed a certain "Esprit de Corp". They are fighting a lot better then their Equipment would lead some people to believe
- Poitacs leader is on the search for another item - again. Of coruse we ignore it. We also had a opportunity to help their "Commercial Citizen League" to expand their Government Power. And a similar Opprotunity came up in Morellier
- as expected, the 4 running projects really went through our Metal stockpiles. Looks like our Soldiers will ahve to walk around in some older gear after all.
- the main consumer is clearly the Factory. So it was set to only receive 25% of it's demand for a while.
- the Milita HQ in Doggermountain is now also on the top Level.
- Our SCC managed to put some Export taxes on the Polymer Federation.

Summer 798AA (20):
- Poltiac is again holding celebrations and again invited our Diploamst only as a side note. We ignored it again.
- Finally the Interior council managed a increase of the Income tax
- Morellier has conquered teh City and Region of Sondheim. We managed to get 7 Spies into the region, a new record!
- salaries can make leaders content, even if they are not happy. Time to use them! Soldiers and the Secretary have been given a minimum Salary
- Tarus keeps falling back and our troops keep shadowing them.

Winter 799AA (21):
- there needs to be no declaration of martial law to get people to do what I demand. The Envofrcement branch is also making sure they are swearing Loyalty oaths in schools and the workplaces (Martial Law and Loyalty Oath Regime Feats. Still missing Submission).
- a comemorative plague for the "unknown Fallen Soldier" of our milita was sugested. I went the extra mile and made sure it is a good one!
- the JHK demanded that we make sure our people live in Comfort. "Civilized" they called it. Not a chance. We can not allow them to go soft.
- two extra options for our spies to help the right leaders with Information came up in the Major regimes
- despite us already rejeecting them once, Traders are again trying to bribe their way out of hte dagger mountain "Empire".
- Tarsus keeps falling back and we already reached their city. It is possible they have not year realized we are at war.

Summer 799AA (22):
- my population loves and glorifies war. Dying in combat is considered a "good death" (War Lust Regime Feat)
- it seems to be time for a new Organisaiton already. I choose the Economc Council. My people are holding a lot of land and I wonder, how much unknown resources there could be under the ice and rock?
- another Worker strike in Doggermountain. The troops proceeded as usual
- we cought a Poitac Spy and apparently, they want to buy him back. Of course he was executed instead!
- the city of Morag has been almost fully surrounded

Winter 800 AA(23):
- it has been 800 (very short) local years since the apokalypse. On old earth, it would be September 8258.
- even the leaders have to learn, that submission to my rule is not optional. Assasins from the Secret Service Council can be on them at any moment (Submission Regime Feat).
- the AMG design has been finished, and it falls way short of the targeted improovement. Looks like Upgrading the Zero Gun is the way to go after all.
- Kenzie Beetfort is the only suitable leader for the Economic council. Her drive for a strong democracy and bureaucracy is still worrying, but hopefully it will not get in the way too much.
- we had a able commander ask, if we could protect is village for him. However it is way past any sensible range for our military, so we had to reject him.
- the Fanatics fight till the end - but that does not offset their poor gear. The Morac has been stormed. 3100 dead, the same amount retreated. Minor damage to local assets. No relevant casualties on our side.

Summer 800AA(24):
- it was another appocalypse- for the rulers of Morac. Once their city had fallen the enemy troops in the field utterly disbanded. Every square kilometer of land they owned, we now own.
- a metal Mining spot has been found in Doggermountain, just at the border to the Polymer Federation. Work on a mine have begun instantly.
- with the capture of the factory in Morac, we fullfileld our promise to improove the Factory infrastructure
- the new HQ building is finished and the moving over is finished. I got a much bigger Office now!
- we inherited teh "Church of Syndic" religion from Morac. And this cult may actualyl proove usefull. A meeting to discuss them has been sheduled
- a new Truck staton is being build in Morac, but that may not anywhere near enough. We need more fuel. But given teh planets passive Geology and lack of a previous biopshere, Biofuel refining seems the only option. So be it! Work on a Refinery in Neomountain has begun. However, upgrading teh farming infrastructure has to follow amost instantly
- Including some new Juniors, we found someone halfway decent for governing Morac. Habbibal Porthos (III/26/30/35) should do acceptably
- Independence Agitators appeard in Morac. The troops squashed them with 200 losses
- a full sized Militia HQ has been realized in Morac.
- somebody leaked a video of me having a outburst. People in Neomountain fear me (Paranoia card)
- we found a ancient archive, containing everything we need to know about high velocity guns!
- I may be capable by wiping out the Justice Humanist Knights movement, by taking out the two only leaders. But I need a fitting replacement for the Supreme Command Council first. The only persons with Administration. My best bet would be the always Reliable Fiona Greensun, but first I need a repalcement for her in the Secret Service. Hopefully the Interior Council can find a Covert Operative capable of holding a candle to her soon. Or a Mercenary.

Winter 801 AA (25):
- we got the new MG design, "Zero Gun II". Almost double the survivability, but no improovement on the weapons front. Some Motorcycles Troops need to be design first, before it goes back to redesignign existing stuff
- teh church of Sindic is Pro Democracy, Pro Government - making it a nother ill fit, despite their help in getting the workers working
- the Raiders of Ironfort - just past Morac - tried to threathen me with war. What a absolutely ludicrous idea. That after two easy conquests, I would fear war. I limited the Biofuel planet to 1/4 consturction, to make sure there is enough metal for troops. Upon rejection, they intantly decalred.
- In numbers the Raiders of Ironfort have teh advantage. But quality is clearly on my side. Improvised Slughtrowers stand no chance against Automatic Rifles!
- Primaria wanted another spie reliease. Our answer is still the same: Exectuion, not release. And making sure their Realpilotikers stay in power, means they are not going to do anything about it. Let hotheads be hotheads.
- the 3 Republican Nations have definitely met by now. In some case, their borders met. Them allying could be bad and relapolitikers are certainly able and willing to do that. But what if the two farther ones were suddenly run by Syndic extremists?
- Neomountain needed to be upgraded. This will hopefully drop the peoples perception of our civilsiation level - and make sure they do not forget to sign up for the militia! It will also hopefully avoid the captured populations from getting any "ideas" regarding their own amenities.

From now on, 1.03beta10 game.
Still a 1.03beta6 savegame, however.

Summer 801 AA (26):
- the 13th Militia Regiment managed to scure the last piece of road on the border. The enemy are starting to gather near it
- the scientists just had the idea to create water from rock. Given that we are living quite close to several frozen lakes, that is propably the least usefull technology they could have thought up.
- John Ironborn - our secretary - is just a giant problem. He jsut had a play terminated because he felt they were "mocking" me. Quite unlikely, given how much he hates me. I supported his actions, to make him happy- even if that does cause some Unrest in Neomountain.
- a worker strike happened in Morac. The usual treatment: Sending in the Military
- the interior council tried their luck at another junior. Still nobody worth even keepin in the reserve pool
- while my Secretary has no Skill and no like for me, he is also one of the most senior members of the Administration. So removing him is politically not-viable. But it is quite possible he betrays the Nation soo enough, wich should resolve the issue entirely.

Winter 802 AA (27):
- the 13th Militia Regiment was attacked and pushed back, but inflciting 1:1 casualties on the enemy - despite them fielding tanks. But teh 1st Brigade as now reached the front.
- the Governor of Morac sugested putting our news service to focus on "the lot of the common man" instead of our Glorious leaders - including me. That is Revelutionary talk. He was reproached for even sugesting that.
- The Trade society requested we put one of their candidates into our reserve pool. Wich would make two of them. However Mike Dutch turned out to be not a total failure as a leader! (III/47/28/26). While he has some skill as commander, his true potential lies in the Technical skills.
- The Trader Society has been a intersting party. Their focus on maters of the mind can clearly not flourish, wich is not going to be relevant in our Martial society. While not the Elite Army, they should still be a lot easier to deal with then the JHK.
- after some deliberation, I fired Ian Betelgeuze - Supreme Command Council Director, Leader of the Justice Humanist Knights - from his post. A lot of leaders got worried that I fired someone with such high Seniority, but they will get over it
- finally had the resoruce to (almost) fully upgrade our frontline soldiers
- I am strating to re-evaluate some cults. The "Anima Circle" and "Church of Syndic" are fundamentally opposed to my rule. The need to be outlawed or at least supressed. While the Mystic Temple is not exactly a "keeper", it is comparatively easy to keep in check - similar to the "Trade Society" group. The "Shadow Sect" sounds like a usefull cult, but I could not actually find any followers to verify it. A meeting on the Mystic Temple has been sheduled.

Now 1.03beta11

Summer 802 AA(28):
- the 13th and 4th Militia Regiment held the gap against the raids. 7:3 losses, including some more of the enemy "tanks" (wich turned out to be just buggies).
- a new secret survey. Elite Army: 76%, Justice Humanist Knights: 23%, Trader Society: 1%
- motorcycle troops have been finished. Excelent Structural(121), Weapon (112) and decent Armor design (104). The next goal will be a redesign of the trucks, if we even are to build any
- the militia was extremely unhappy with firigin their former milita chief, but that is a problem I can deal with. Accepting a bunch of extra requests for "emergency Funds" should deal with that issue quickly
- the meeting on the Mystic Temple happened. The Policy has been improoved to a normal level. Another meetng has been sheduled
- getting Mike Dutch to be the new leader of the SCC required quote some offended parties, but it eventually went through.
- finally, a increase of the incoem tax went through
- as expected, our regular forces are slaughtering the raider Militias.
- work on a Baracks to maintain security in Morac has begun. This will be the one investment into Quality of Life all zones are going to get.
- Fiona Greensun managed to send a spy team to aid the right Faction in Morellier. Soon we should hear back from them regarding any opportunities to help the Syndic Fanatics into power

Winter 803AA(29):
- the time of Bureaucracy is over. A time of rebellion has begun
- the raiders have been falling back and splitting up, each going into a seperate direction as if to protect things they value most
- the 2nd meeting on the Mystic Templhe happened. This time the focus was on how to improove our policies to get more people into the cult
- Adding another council was possible, but I lack the political power to get a new one so quickly formed after the last
- between our active operations and a few by-chance findings, we managed to increase the "Syndic Peoplss Force" standing in Morellier significantly
- a Senator extradition Requset came from Pointac. Niehter options are particulary favorable, so I picked the one that would placate Ian Betelgeuze
- for the first time fightin the raiders, we had casualties among conventional forces. Luckily, there is a 1/5th reseve in the SHQ
- it is time to see if our Inerior Council can find a few rather good leaders. A Option for a Formoer Miltiary Member and teh a Secret OPS specialist came up.
The Military person was Berty Kaus (III/23/35/28)
The Special Ops person was Duke Richardsight (II/35/37/37). His special OPS skill even slightly surpasses Fiona Greensuns.

Summer 803AA (30):
- what little part of the politics that not under my direct control, is now highly militrazied. People Glorify past battles and casualties are seen more like Background noise then something to worry about.
- the raiders keep falling back further and further
- a new Faction - the "Lawfull League" has formed around Berty Kaus. And they already have demands I hire someone new. As they are purely Autocratic, this is a very acceptable idea. Grey Etherfield joined the Reserve Pool (II/15/28/22), but. He has good Covert ops skill, but still sub-par to what we already have waiting.
- a new Policy Speech came up. And I made it clear the City of Flagbridge - capitol city of Ironfort- would be conquered.
- another minor worker strike in Doggermountain. The secrutiy forces easily dealt with them
- our spies found political dirt in all 3 Major regimes, at around the same time. The strategy stays the same: Realpolitikers for all but Morellier.
- it looks like the Neomountain "Empire" ceased to be a while ago.

Winter 804AA (31):
- the Raiders keep retreating, making it hard to challenge them to battle
- the Anima cult has been officially outlawed!
- the trader Society wanted another of the members in the Reserve pool. We got Zed McKenna (I/32/26/9), a pretty useless person
- doggermountain is stable enough to be considered a regular zone, so taxation and culture conversion can begin. I expecte the process to be slow, as their culture is quite traditional
- the army 1st Brigade is within 400 km of the City of Flagpole.

Now 1.03beta12

Winter 804AA (32):
- Our buggies killed 500 enemies soldiers, while loosing 20 units.
- marrauders have been moving out of the wild and onto Doggermountain. Luckily some militia was arround to intercept them. Still, the people there already have a high sense of danger, and wild people walking up to the city will not improove that. A Independant Infantry Battalion has been raised additonally to help drive those invaders back to the desert they are comming from!
- our forces fromed a half-encirclement around Flagbridge
- the Church of Syndic has also been outlawed. There is no room for their "ideas" in my country!
- for once, a acceptable demand by the JHK: Increasing the average Morale of the soldiers
- the new Truck Design "Main Transport" has been finished. Overall a clear upgrade (107 Structural Design, 88 Engine Design). Time to try the same with the buggies.
- Some young turks sugested I slash the yearly bonus for the secret Servic Council to finance their after-hour project. Not going to happen. But I can still give them a small budget
- Primaria rqeurested we release one of their Spies we have captured for payment. The answer is still execution!
- our income taxes are now at 60%.
- the T2 Industiry, teh Biofuel Planet, a number of mines and Bureaucratic offices have finished
- Another upgrade of the Supreme Headquarters has begun. While in Doggermountain the Bureaucratic Offices are being upgraded, and a Solar Collector is being added.

Winter 805AA(33):
- The marrauders near Doggermountain blodied themself, attacking one militia unit. 8:1 casualties for them
- our secrutiy forces found a hidden battle dojo in Neumountains Zone. The option was to press them into our Militia (Autocracy) or Let them be for giving us regulary recruits (Enforcement). I choose the later.
- Flagbridge is ours! Before the retreating enemies had any real chance to entrench, our forces stormed the defenses. Minor casualties
- similar sucess manifested with the raiders near Doggermountain. They were pushed back.
- Morac has been fully incorporated. It looks like their cultural conversion will finish way ahead of Doggermountains.
- A paved road to Morac has been finished, this one not going over every piece of Glacier possible.

Summer 805AA(34):
- the Raiders of Flagbridge have surrendered and disbanded, once we took their city
- the raiders near doggermountain were also defeated. The independant unit is disbaning, to be re-organized into a future 2nd Brigade
- food thieves in Flagbridge Quickly learned how we are dealing with unrest
- Heathcliff Sodiwaste was made Governor of Flagbridge. While originally earmarked for the SHQ, this position currently needs no replacement.
- a new Adivsor Position openened up. I gave it to "Tank Oldsight", a unskilled but high capaciyt leader
- the Interior Council managed to clean up a bunch of leaders with exceptionally poor abilities. While paying the would not be a relevant resource drain, that they keep being proposed is really troublesome
- the upgrade of the Truck Stop in Neomountain has finally begun. The work in Flagbridge however, is running into an issue: The Town is outside of logistics range with the Capitol and even Morac. We did soem work on a new road from Morac to Flagbridge. Dirt road for now, but a Upgrade will come as soon as possible.
