It's inevitable. Wargaming + 4X. The two complement each other so well, it's been my dream for a long time.

It’s such a good game! I wasn’t sure when I got it because I was never a massive fan of the previous games, but this is amazing! Was playing it all of yesterday, must have like 5 hours already.

Yeah, it is another of those "just one more turn" type games.

I played it for a "half hour" yesterday and discovered I had somehow lost 3 hours...

Yep, typical dated 1990s graphics. [:)]

I am right now just enjoying the hell out of going through Das Tactics' tips and tricks youtube series, which is really an expanded game tutorial, with a live game set up, still on turn one right now. And I don't usually like doing youtubes to learn a game. This game is just a brilliant concept.

No, Shadow Empire does not win any graphics awards this time either.
I'm personally not very interested in it.

If I want to spend my good money on graphics, I go to the museum or collect stamps.
I want engaging entertainment and immersion - and VR Designs has been offering me this for years!

Atypical for Vic's games is now the movement mechanic.
We have finally overcome the uncomfortable, and so unloved, movement orders of the VR predecessor games.

Thank you Vic! [&o]

Shadow Empire is a tribute to the fact that a single man can develop such a game.
As a result, Shadow Empire is also a slap in the face of so many (ridiculous) multi money/multi employee developers with their colorful but unsubstantial products!! [8D]
