Game stuck in Return to base:allied phase (Baltic/nav restriction)

Germans took Copenhagen with french scs in baltic. Now can't return to base, Backspace doesn't work to delete ships manually. Advice please?

It is likely that there is a port that Allies control in the Baltic Sea region that the ship can return to. (and that is why the ship may not be destroyed)

I suspect that one of these ports is available for the French SCS: Frederikshavn, Aarhus, Gdynia, or Danzig. (most likely candidate is Aarhus)

If it is that a Allied controlled port is the answer, then the SCS should be able to stay at sea inside the Baltic if it is not in the 0-box. If France so desire, of course.
