Post by BillBrown »

I would like to start a new game. I have a few going now, but 2 of them are proceeding slowly, one
at about 4 turns per week and the other 2-3 turns per week.
I am looking for a player that can mostly do at least 1 turn per day.

I am open to most any full campaign scenario, and I will play using any of the latest
3 exes( 1124, 1126a, or 1126b), your choice.

I would rather not use any house rules, but I will look at any you want and maybe we can come to an agreement.

I do have some first turn rules I would like to put forward.
1. Allied TF that exist on turn one can change their orders, no new TFs can be created
2. Only ground and air units either in China or attached to China Command can be given orders on turn 1.
3. No deep penetrations by the Japanese( No Mersing turn 1, no Palambang, etc. )

PM me if you are interested or answer here.

Bill, wish I had the time. I barely get 2 turns/week in my AI game, and often have to go several weeks in between turns. Still, just too much RL intervening.

No problem Pax. I have gotten a few offers, but not ones I am willing to take on. I had one person who has just bought the game and has not played a PBEM yet. That is a bit scary, since I know how hard Japan is to play.
Others want settings and/or house rules that I will not agree to. I have played with PDU=OFF before and will not do it again. Also 2 day turns are not my cup of tea.

I got another PM this morning and it might prove to be the one I am looking for, time will tell. I am not going to jump into the first offer. I did that with my first WitP AE PBEM game and it was a disaster. House rules can also make a game agony.

I would have loved to have taken you on Bill but I'm afraid I've just had a real life event take place which means I simply don't have the time at the moment[:(]

I would have gladly tried to come to agreement with you on rules and setting Miller. Too bad you do not have the time.

Yep,

I haven't yet been able to do a PBEM due to RL, BUT that day will come and I have a short list of people I would be willing to play as I don't want "the" bad experience. You are on my list … [;)]

I hope you do play a PBEM Pax. You will be a formidable foe I am sure.

For all others, almost 350 hits and no acceeptable offers yet.

I guess I will just close this request.

Good, I currently have a game where I came from a month with only 3 shifts and a week ago that does not respond. If he fails to respond I terminate that game and he would be free for a game.

I think his opponent in the game he currently is playing may be MIA.. if so he will quit that game and would like to start a game with you

I would still be open to a discussion if you are interested.

To any perspective players:

All I can say is that Bill has been a faithful and steady opponent for me. I can realistically only give him 3-4 turns a week (similar to my other opponent DOCUP). And Bill accepted that limitation and, as I started with DOCUP as my first partner, that my game with DOCUP takes precedence.

I know Bill is looking for a game in which he can flip turns faster than with me. My belief is that if you want to try and actually get a game into 1945-46 then Bill is one of those players that shares that desire.

Respectfully,

Mike
