Kharkov. Tyrone (Axis) vs Tigercub (Soviet)
Kharkov. Tyrone (Axis) vs Tigercub (Soviet)
Looks to be a fairly simple scenario with some attacking by both players, first HvH game for both of us.
T1.
Really not much to do as Axis apart from stabalise the lines and try and save the Romanians. Tried to pull back some Romanian units but they were getting held in place by reaction attacks.
Soviets have pulled back from attacking across the river SE corner of map.

RE: Kharkov. Tyrone (Axis) vs Tigercub (Soviet)
a mess! pretty much i have been given the german units are strong! i have captured 2-10 point city location's but feel i have very little chance to do much as i know the germans have a panzer corps on its way! only a 12 turn game i hope i can hold out don't think i can ever capture Karkov! and live to see the end hehe!

RE: Kharkov. Tyrone (Axis) vs Tigercub (Soviet)
At first glance it looks like the Axis player has a really good bulge going on and all he has to do is close the gap and trap a lot of Soviet units. Which could then be destroyed at his leisure but if you do an inventory of the Axis units there doesn't appear to be enough of them to perform such a maneuvore. Are there any additional Axis units going to appear in the game anytime soon [expected reinforcements]?

Axis have a trickle of reinforcements but not much for a few turns.
Too weak to any attacks yet, I tried doing some bombardments but pretty much a waste of time.
Trying to extract the Romanians and just shore up the line.

Really a very quiet game, Soviets make a few of attacks and Axis just trying to fill out their front line. Looks like the Romanians will be OK, have pulled one group back for R&R.

Finally some action.
Trying a flanking maneuver in the North and a pincer in the South.

As the Russian player you start in some places ready too attack and the rest of the front is a mess, no surprise the Russians had it handed to them here!

Beginning to get a bit of a squeeze in the South. Not much progress in the North. The Soviets are too strong to attack in most places.
Both of us are having heavy losses from the occasional failed attack, it seems difficult to mass enough strength against defending units without over stacking too much.
As a result am infiltrating through any gaps available as much as doing direct attacks.

The squeeze is on in the South.
Not much progress up north, doesn't look like getting any objectives and will probably end up with a few units trashed for nothing.

Managing to reduce one pocket and create a few more, though Soviets will open most of them.
One recon unit on the rampage behind Soviet lines, don't think it does them any harm ?
Two turns left, I probably need two more objectives for a decisive victory so something for both sides to play for.

RE: T10
Is there some way you can split up your recon unit and send the pieces different directions to cut off the Soviet supply lines? Now that they are behind enemy lines they are expendable anyway. Try to find something useful to do with them while they still exist.
