Game choice advice

Close Combat: Gateway to Caen is the latest release in the critically-acclaimed Close Combat series and focuses on the largest, concentrated British offensive since the Normandy landings in an attempt to penetrate the German lines west of Caen and cross the Odon River to get the stalled advance moving again.

Game choice advice

I'm interested in the Close Combat series. Is Caen a good place to start or would you recommend another title?

- TLD/WAR have the most mods. The last patch made them almost completely feature compatible with the only difference being the size of commander pics.
- LSA has all the features of TLD/WAR plus some real unique features compared to other titles like bridge blowing and reserve BG's lending units.
- PiTF has better mortar handling and allows select vehicles to carry troops/tow guns which older titles can not do. For some reason some LSA features were not brought forward.
- GtC has the same features as PiTF plus larger map graphics,

Thank you for the valuable information. I've narrowed my choice down to Arnhem or Caen.
