Vyllis' APOS sound mod (VAPOSM)

Post by Shadrach »

I didn't make it, but I found it on SimHQ, and thought it would be nice if others tried it as well.

Not sure how well it plays with the Matrix version, but as long as you can use the game updater (update.cmd) to install it it should work fine since it only replaces sounds.

Not sure how realistic the sounds are but I like them a lot, seems to have a bit more power to the sounds than the default ones.

To install,

1)Extract the VAPOSM folder from the zip file to your Achtung Panzer Operation Star folder.

2)Run update.cmd file located also in your Achtung Panzer Operation Star folder. This will open a Game Updater program.

3)Click the install button. It should automatically choose the desc.addpack file.

4)Click OPEN. It will then install the mod to the Game Updater program.

5) Click the Save and Play button.

Mod is installed

You don't *really* have to 1) extract the folder to your APOS folder, anywhere will do. After running the Game Updater, save & play you can delete the mod folder to save space.

Step 5) is really important though, otherwise nothing will be saved, so don't choose Exit :)
