League

The Seven Years’ War was fought across the globe and called by some the first “World War” as virtually every major power participated. In the center of events was Prussia, almost constantly at war and lead by the now legendary Frederick the Great.

Relive the exciting and trying days of Frederick the Great in Horse and Musket: Volume I, the improved and expanded combination of the previous Prussian War Machine and Prussia’s Glory titles. Horse and Musket: Volume I is a reboot of the successful Horse and Musket series, including not only two solid historical titles in one package, but also many new game features, a powerful new editor, and a complete graphics overhaul to an already acclaimed gaming system.

League

Post by PrinzHenrich »

I have idea of making pbem league of battles. For ex. 6 person could play each others like in football but only one battle between two persons. The size of army will be the same, so both side have eaqual chance of win. Because it shall be small or medium battle the typical army would have
1 head general
8-12 bns of infantry
2-3 bns of grenadiers
1-2 light infantry
5-10 sqns hussars
5-10 sqns dragoons
5 sqns cuirassiers,
one heavy battery
1-2 medium battery
1-2 light battery
Any suggestions?

My suggestions
Infantry = 7000 but, less than 1000 light infantry, less than 1200 grenadiers Cavalry 3000 but less than 1000 light cavalry, less than 1000 cuirassiers Artillery 30 points   Infantry – fire 100%, melee 100%, two battalion guns, veteran, 12 mp, all formations Grenadiers– fire 120%, melee 120%, two battalion guns, crack 12 mp, all formations Light infantry – fire 120%, melee 80%, two battalion guns, regular 14 mp, can’t square   Hussars – fire 5%, melee 75%, regular – 26 mp Dragoons – melee 100% - 22 mp Cuirassiers – 120% melee  - 22 mp     3 points for one heavy gun (3,5,12, -10) 2 point for medium guns (2,4,8, - 12) 1 point for light gun (1,2,6 - 14)   One head general -2 subpoints– 7 command radius 2 corps generals - 1 subpoints – 7 command radius 6 generals – 6 command radius All generals 7 command rating

Two battles, One time you have to defend some positions, second time you shall took this positions. Battlefield and game options make standard by me :)
Ex.
"Firing at greater than effective Range - 25%"
Unit strenght Multiplier per Battalion gun - 5%
Bombardment Modifier by Range
Lght 100-50-25
Md 120-75-40
Hvy 150-100-5
Combat phase after 4 turn,
Etc.
=========================================================================================

Unactual modifiers and vactors :)

This is a good idea. I'm not one for playing AI.....and I've yet to finish a single PBEM battle in this game. My opponents always disappear.

Few players choose nationality. Choose one and play the same scenario
with all other players. All units factors and modifiers are the same for
all players. The size and quality of the army are the same.
In battle tyou need to take max points and in second rate make highest
losses for your opponent.

We have at this momment:

Hungary (from Austrian units)
Bavaria (use Austrians cavalry)
Wurttenberg (use Austrians cavalry)

Choose one and published on the topic League.

I'm going to make table and scenarios for our league.

Please choose nationality
In Austria and Prussia I think can be made 2 representations of different uniforms :)
Please confirm your access

Table look like that:

First choose Nationality and tell me on the forum or email.
Second step is constructing ODB your army
or just give me free hand to do that (I doubt you do)
The army organisations look like in the put higher post

ODB shall like follow formul:

Headleader (give names)
-Corp leader of infantry
--Commander of Avangarde
---light infantry unit
--Commander of 1st infantry brigade of 1st line
---1 gren. bn (on the flank)
---4 bns of line infantry
--Commander of 2st infantry brigade of 1st line
---1 gren. bn (on the flank)
---4 bns of line infantry
--Commander of 2nd line
---1 gren. bn (on the flank)
---4 bns of line infantry
---1 guard unit
-Corp leader of right wing cavalry
--Commander of 1st line cavalry
---4 medium cavalry units
--Commander of 2nd line cavalry
---3 light cavalry units
-Corp leader of left wing cavalry
--Commander of 1st line cavalry
---2 medium cavalry units
---2 heavy cavalry units
--Commander of 2nd line cavalry
---3 light cavalry units

Then I make your army and put on the battlefield I have already done.
Whis scenario of two different army ex. Saxon vs Prussian will send to both oponents by the organisator of the cup (ME). You play and send me effect of the battle :)
Simple?

Battle 1 is Completed.

The Austrians under illustrious Field Marshal Browne have withdrawn from the filed after two hours of fighting (7-8 turns). The battle began with a major cavalry action south of the fort and north of the town between the Prussian right wing horse and the Austrians left. The Austrians had the upper hand there but before they could exploit their advantage the Prussian infantry, who had summited the hill, were pouring fire into the Austrian troopers. In the meantime, both Frederick and Browne sent a sizable detachment to capture the town. The Austrians outnumbered the Prussians by a few battalions and took the town first. The Prussians were able to still remain in the outskirts and the Hussars under general Katte disrupted the Austrian deployment but where chased of by Austrian Hussars and Dragoons. To the North Frederick ordered the Black Death Hussars to move through the forest to strike the Austrian rear; a move anticipated by Browne. Throughout the battle the Austrian Hussars and later some Dragoons skirmished with the Prussians there. By now the Prussians were pushing against the Austrian center which, thinly spread collapsed. Browne realized that without his center the position in the town was unsupportable. He gave the order to retreat.

The Prussians held most the strategic positions (two of the hills and the "Fort". The Austrians had two hills and the town) but took more casualties.

Prussians Lost:
Infantry: 287
Cavalry: 1,649

Austrians Lost:
Infantry: 564
Cavalry: 896
