Siege Art in defense?!

The questions just won't stop :-) Does it give the defender a bonus during a siege if his cherished Siege Arty pieces are deployed in a Fortress? I mean will the Siege Arty hurt the attackers or are they only useful if player is besieging himself..?!

Yes, it does contribute to your defence as does other artillery.

It shouldn't be. What might be confusing you is that the strength isn't shown in the container box entry like other brigades but it is shown in the control box showing the unit details. Full strength is 3000 and any reduction will have a proportionate effect on casualties inflicted based on the power of the artillery piece you arm it with.
