Size Chart

Post by Nite92 »

I was wondering if there's a size chart for facilities? Specifically, for aircraft tarmacs, hangers, open parking, ect. I know in Harpoon 3 ANW, it was 2 for Small, 3 for Medium, 4 for Large, and 8 for V-Large aircraft. Does the same hold true for CMO?

I've spent over an hour looking and maybe I'm using the wrong terms, but I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I do not think one exists, I haven't seen one, but I think it's a good idea.

I usually play hit & miss with this but I think I'll make a chart. Give me a bit.

OK here is my take on this. (full spreadsheet attached)

It all makes sense, one could quibble here and there but the size in general correlates. Some observations:

-Helipads are much less forgiving than AC parking areas for size.
-I don't see a difference in detection between a camouflaged parking area and an open one, they are auto detect anyway.
-I also don't see an advantage for reveted sites
-Underground parking for large and VLarge AC seems a bit generous but it is based on the same system and would probably be a bugger to change for very little advantage - scenario designers should work with it and there is a photo of bombers going underground so it is possible.

Hope this helps
