Read this, spot the errors and laugh at the errors:

Leon Spinks’ victory in Montreal as a 23-year-old U.S. Marine with a gap-toothed smile made for a compelling story for boxing fans to follow, setting up “Neon Leon” for a high-profile start to his pro career.

Well, it has been over 24 hours and no one commented about the errors on the UPI article. The United Press International is such an esteemed place for the news:
The 24-year-old Spinks, weighing 97 pounds was a heavy underdog against Ali, 36 and 224 pounds. Spinks won on a 15-round split referee decision, including surviving a 15th-round flurry of punches from the defending champion. The 24-year-old Spinks, weighing 97 pounds was a heavy underdog against Ali, 36 and 224 pounds. Wow! Outweighed more than two to one and still won!

Plus:
He moved to Las Vegas in 2011 and married Brenda. He was indicted into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame in 2017.

I did not know that you get indicted into such a place. I always thought that someone would be inducted into such a place.

Oh well, the state of journalism with the proofreaders/editors . . .
