Somehow Tasmanian devils came up in conversation the other day, and we all realized if it weren't for Looney Toons we'd have zero awareness of that species.

There was a survey many years back that found that 75ish% of foreigners (non-Oz)thought it was an accurate portrayal.

Tazzie devils are cuddly little pets. After a bit of training they even stop peeing on you.

So are drop-bears, if you see them coming and catch them and giv'em a hug. And feed them stuff they like.

I one gave my stepmother a T-shirt with Taz on it. It said "If you saw a blur, it was me."

I had already posted about this.

We hope not, because people are making easy money catching and selling them. Imagine that - are you familiar with the underpants gnome episode on Southpark? Collect camels, ship to the UAE, profit.

Bundy rum is the drink of choice for drop bears. They appreciate tourists who shout them a bottle of Bundy. No Bundy, they tend to dislike intruders.
