Fantastic![:D] There´s another guy interested too. We have just started a mirrorish two players game today. It would be more interesting if we could play three. This is the kind of game we have chosen:

SMALL MAP
DRY WORLD
MAP LOOP
COSTLY RESEARCH
STONE AGE
HIDDEN STATS
DEPLETED LAND
DESERTED LANDS
SUBTROPIC-TROPIC

Let me know your opinion about it. If you know someone else interested to join us, much better. I am able to send several turns per day.

Sounds good. However, depending on time zones we are all in, we might only get one or two turns done per day. Although I have no problem with that.

You may want to bump up the planet size by one level since resources will be scarce and there are no AI for us to initially conquer.

Ok. A medium-sized map will be good. I think we should wait for tomorrow and see what´s going on with the other player. We´ll be in contact.

The 3 player has started. But I don't have a problem with starting a 5 player with the same parameters. I suggest we keep both games running.

One of my other games uses DropBox to exchange turn files. What do you guys think about that? I can send you an invite to join DropBox (free service) if you aren't already a member.

I am new to multi-player, what would be the advantage of using Dropbox?

Is the 5 player game going forward? Or are we still looking for more players?

DropBox allows you when other players have completed the turn and uploaded their file to the online folder. This reduces the amount of email sent to the group, posts to the forum, questions about who is currently taking their turn, etc. DropBox time stamps the uploads, so you can see at a glance the status of the turn.

I think we should start it in dropbox as soon as possible. There are six interested players:

1-Sailing guy
2-Jafele
3-dominickpa
4-Casus
5-pablo velo
6-Adam Rinkleff

Phil, do you know the email of dominickpa and Casus? In that case, we can start a six players game.

The following was posted to the DropBox folder for PH-PA-JA-AD.

"The map is too large. It will probably take a year to play this game. I think it would be a lot more interesting and fast-paced to play on a small map with a one town start. If that ends too quickly, then we can always try a larger one next time."

So do we want to restart?

I agree. However, I would start with the option "one town start" disabled. In this way everyone have resources initially.

So the problem is the size of the map.

We are currently at X-Large. Medium? Large?
