Data fixes and improvements on the horizon!
Matrix Games and Henderson Field Designs are proud to release a significant new update for their award winning WWII Pacific Theatre mega game, War in the Pacific – Admiral’s Edition! The new comprehensive 1.01.06i is the first major data update since the release, with dozens of fixes and improvements through the game data for equipment, ships, planes, units and scenarios. Please note that you will need to start a new game to see the full effect of these data fixes and improvements. A few code fixes are also included, which will apply to all games.

New variable resolution complete with widescreen support and so much more!
Matrix Games and Henderson Field Designs are proud to release a major new update for their award winning WWII Pacific Theatre mega game, War in the Pacific – Admiral’s Edition! The new comprehensive 1.01.02a update comes with heaps of changes, fixes, and improvements including support for variable resolutions and even widescreen support. Gone are the days of 1024x768 – you can now see as much of the gorgeous map as your monitor will allow! Other changes include adjustments to anti-sub warfare and torpedo effectiveness, many interface improvements, gameplay improvements galore, and much more – well over 100 changes, fixes and improvements.

This is the entire War in the Pacific down to individual aircraft, vehicles, ships, guns and squads - more than just a game, it's an encyclopedia of the war compiled from many sources to an unmatched level of detail. Add in a much improved AI and more secure PBEM play and you have the makings of a new classic!

Anticipation has been reaching new heights with the approaching release of War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition. This sequel to War in the Pacific will require ownership of the original and is aimed at the veteran wargamers who have been enjoying War in the Pacific and asking for more. Among the many things fans are looking forward to is the full color 330 page printed manual that will be included in the first official "Collector's Edition" release here at Matrix Games. This is the largest, most comprehensive manual we've released and the first one of this size to be printed in full color. As a special preview for those who are already familiar with War in the Pacific and as thanks for their patience during the development process, we are making available a series of excerpts from the final manual - in total a whopping 75 pages of new information (still just a fraction of the actual manual though!).

New Expansion for War in the Pacific with More Detail, More History, More Features!
Matrix Games and 2 by 3 Games (www.2by3games.com) are excited to announce a new expansion for War in the Pacific, the legendary epic wargame of the entire Pacific theater during World War II. The Admiral’s Edition expansion will require ownership of the original War in the Pacific game. Many additional man-years of development from a dedicated and experienced team including subject matter experts and experienced programmers has resulted in an improved War in the Pacific experience across the board. The Admiral’s Edition expansion is currently scheduled for an early Summer, 2008 release.
